      ^ Same. I personally use GIMP 2.8 and Paint (Panzoid online for advanced jobs). :)

      Yeah it sure is. Photoshop isn't even good :D Adobe Illustrator is something I wish I had. But anyways for me it was 2-3 tutorial videos on how to make logos and then I was making Team Logos in CS every day.
