  1. That's basically the premise of what truckfest is. You literally go to show of your truck and talk, there's barbecues etc. It would be impossible to run the sort of competition that happens in real life where each driver puts their name down before a certain time and inspectors go around each truck and look at every nook and cranny of every truck to find the cleanest one. At the end a truck is chosen and the driver that owns the truck wins the competition. Maybe you could take something from that and judge who has the best looking truck rather than who has the cleanest one. I advise possibly not having any activities that could potentially cause trouble for anyone not attending or lead to anyone being banned for rule breaking; that's all I can say. Don't forget you're holding this at an area where regular users will be coming and going from to pick up/drop off. It's already decided where the location is; so if you plan on making it a regular event you could organize it at a less popular area so as to avoid disrupting anyone who is just playing normally.
  2. ETR don't have any copyright on truckfest. Don't forget that truckfest actually happens for real if anything ETR could be done for 'copyright' but it's not even copyrighted either, so don't worry.
  3. I don't think you can get beacons, per se, on the grill or bullbars but this might be what you're looking for; http://metaltigersa.co.za/Lights_add-on.html
  4. Are you going to ban company tags while you're at it? That's another means of advertising without saying a word. This is pretty dumb if you ask me. Is there going to be a lockdown in the vicininty of every ETR event that stops anyone that's part of a company being even 700m within range of them? Hard work? Please..
  5. Oh, yeah you can connect the computer (the box) to an HDTV via an HDMI cable. You don't necessarily need a PC specific monitor anymore. You'll need a keyboard and mouse though.
  6. I'm on about someone who has absolutely no business contacting the police, going to them and asking them to update them on every single action that they take during the day for every single thing that they do. Not someone who is in contact with about something that has happened to them.
  7. I haven't actually been on the MP client for the past few weeks, like I've stated multiple times in other threads before. However I will say this; regular users do not need to know when an action or punishment is taken against another user every single time otherwise just make everyone an admin. They're the only people that needs to truly know this information, once you send a report it's out of your hands and into the hands of the admin who takes it up; this is how a process is supposed to work. Do you go to your local police station and ask them to personally phone you every time they do something? No? Why don't you? Is it because it would annoy you due to how many times they'd call? This is essentially the same thing, the only difference is when a lot of users get banned or kicked it spams the chat; therefore potentially distracting a user which can, in theory, potentially lead to another incident that could be reported.
  8. I honestly think making it so that there's a pop up on the sign in page for the MP client is the only way this is going to be completely resolved. It's only partly resolved for those that were moaning about the limiter being taken away. Those users that preferred not having a limiter are basically being ignored in having their issues addressed. Pretty much both sides have got what they want, but there's still that one last hurdle I brought up that needs to be jumped. Jumping down each others throats isn't going to fix this problem for those that want no limiter, start offering actual constructive ideas as to how it could be fixed and we might all have exactly what we want.
  9. Any of those would be better than a laptop and as they would be clean AKA. nothing but the basics on them; they'll run perfectly, if you make sure that you only add what's really needed on one of them then the PC will remain that way. Just make sure you look after it. If you have an HDTV you can forget about a monitor because you'll be able to plug an HDMI cable into the computer and run it into the TV (I'm doing this right now). I don't understand what you mean by 'the BOX'?
  10. Guys, the thread has barely been up for two hours. This is just as bad as the developers making the decision to reinstate the limiter based on the results of the last poll and other mediums regarding this. Not to mention this is also gathering data from a minority of the user base as not every user uses a games forum. There's also the 'sore winner' mentality that those who want the limiter back won't bother voting because they feel like they're superior to those who don't want it.
  11. That's the dilemma when you want a cheap gaming PC, they either don't have an OS or they don't come with a monitor. Do you have an HDTV?
  12. I share the same view as you, although I did vote yes. I think the best approach to keeping everyone happy is by having a pop up on the MP client that comes up once asking the user if they would like to set either EU1, US1 or EU2 as their main server. This would mean that instead of EU1 always being the server that every user is automatically set to when they get to the sign on page it would be what that particular individual wants. Then after that, of course, there should be an option in the settings to change it if a user decides to do so.
  13. I'm not going to list every possible one that I could but trust me mate, just buy a PC for that price; these are all under £500. They'd be much more worth it than a laptop, albeit the custom I have would have originally costed £1,400 I managed to get the price down to under £900. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cyberpower-Infantry-Desktop-Processor-Windows/dp/B00C72IMOU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1428061607&sr=8-6&keywords=gaming+pc http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fierce-PC-Computer-Integrated-Operating/dp/B00MPRF5TW/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1428061607&sr=8-7&keywords=gaming+pc http://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Office-Gaming-Multi-Monitors/dp/B00N4UGXFY/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1428061607&sr=8-8&keywords=gaming+pc http://www.amazon.co.uk/VIBOX-Centre-Package-Processor-Operating/dp/B008LZF4AM/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1428061607&sr=8-11&keywords=gaming+pc http://www.amazon.co.uk/ADMI-GAMING-PACKAGE-Processor-Operating/dp/B00OGI5RX2/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1428061607&sr=8-15&keywords=gaming+pc http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fierce-PC-Computer-Integrated-Operating/dp/B00MPRFQWI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1428061607&sr=8-2&keywords=gaming+pc

    Future of ETS2MP

I'd probably cry over the beauty of it.
  15. Haha, that's fair enough man; don't worry about it. We're on the same page now.
