  1. We know we haven't said much about ATS and ATSMP for a while, so we're gonna attempt to catch up a bit here. ATS is not forgotten, and not dropped. The reason ATS still is not updated is because it is a different version compared to ETS2. American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 share a lot of code, and normally this helps us a lot, as when SCS release updates for both games at the same time we can do a lot of the work once then apply it to both games. However, in this case SCS has released an ATS update with older code, while ETS2 has gotten a newer release. This means it would take literally more than twice the normal time to update both games - since we have to support both new features and old versions. As this is a hobby project, and we all do this for free besides our jobs, school, studies, and personal life, we have to prioritize our time. Because of this, we made a decision not to update ATS to the current version. Instead, we plan to update ATSMP as soon as possible when ATS hits version 1.30, where ETS2 is now. We know it's frustrating when it seem like we are ignoring the issue, and you hear nothing about it. We are sorry about this situation. Additionally, I would like to remind about why the US ATS server is down. This is for security reasons, following a design flaw in nearly all modern CPUs. It applies to several other of our non-EU servers as well, and more information is available here. Keep on trucking, The TruckersMP Team and Developers View post on homepage
  2. You will have to downgrade to a support ATS version. Open your steam library, right click on ATS, go to properties, go to betas, and select the "Temporary 1.29" version from the dropdown. It's in the middle of the list somewhere.
  3. This issue has been resolved and you can download the fix in the launcher. The US ATS server, along with several non EU ETS2 servers, is taken down for security reasons due to an exploit, which exists due to a design flaw in almost all modern CPUs. It will remain offline until the company hosting those servers have updated the host machines. The EU servers are up because they are at much less of a risk, as our EU machines run on dedicated hardware, while most of the non EU servers run on shared hardware. Shared hardware means other users have their servers on the same physical machine, and run their code, meaning it's more at risk. https://truckersmp.com/blog/72
  4. Not a breach. Breach is absolutely a wrong word here, nobody has gained unauthorized access to our systems. It is an exploit, it is something that can be abused to gain access to some of our game servers, if you happen to rent a VPS on the same hardware. The game servers we shut down are shut down because they are running on VPS', meaning there are other peoples applications running on the same physical machine. The CPU exploit means they can bypass the authentication and access memory run by our game servers. There is little to no risk of this affecting the EU gameservers, since they all run on dedicated hardware only in use by us, meaning we can 100% control what software runs on those machines. This is a design flaw in nearly all modern computer processors, it's not someone trying to abuse or gain access to our services in specific. There should be no risk for the user data, as our database is on it's own server fully controlled by us. Only a few game servers running on shared hardware is shut down at this time. It should not provide a risk for our database server right now. It is primarily an issue for the affected game servers because those game servers run on shared hardware, meaning other people run their own software on the same physical machine. Normally they would not be able to access our game server at all, but this CPU exploit allows them to bypass the normal barriers, and thus access our memory, because they can run their own code on their own parts of those machines.
  5. Closer to the end of winter/spring. You can disable it in game by opening tab, right clicking to show the cursor, then opening the mod settings. Alternatively you can press F1 while in the launcher, that clears all the MP files. You will have to download the mod again via the launcher, but you can choose not to install the winter mod.
  6. It varies from server to server, but a few general notes: The servers have strong CPU cores. The server depends on single core performance. The servers also tend to have a large amount of RAM, but only use a part of it. This is because servers with a strong CPU tend to have a lot of RAM included. None of the game servers are hosted by 10gbps, unlike what someone suggested above. If you want to play the game itself on a server machine you would need something very different, as our servers do different work from the game itself. You would most likely need a server with a GPU.
  7. Not duplicate text. It's the country name written on top of the city name, since it's a small country with only a single city. Technically not a bug, but the name could be moved.
  8. Html CSS JavaScript (and Node.js) PHP Java C C# (some) Python SQL
  9. [PROJECT MANAGER] @Clarkinator has left the team due to a lack of time. He has been given the Retired Legend for his dedication of time and effort to TruckersMP and the team in his time as manager. We wish him luck in his future endeavors.
  10. I hid the post you responded to because when reading it it did seam like the person hadn't read or understood the question, and it's blatantly wrong. Some moderator hid your response to it because I had already hidden the first post before you responded. That being said, while it's definitely possible to get the data, but if there isn't a tool ready for you to use, it will be be hard and require a good bunch of technical knowledge and work. to get it to work. There are SDK's available to get data about the user driving, but not about AI drivers. If your goal is to get data about drivers in a VTC, and logging their jobs, then there are systems and tools available that let you do that.
  11. This can be considered for when a server side economy is implemented.
  12. Probably not gonna happen until ets2map doko is more stable, so it can handle larger numbers of requests. Krash's service depends on the ets2map doko to get it's information.
  13. If the recording is more than a month old you should not report. It's possible, but not sure we'll implement it any time soon since it would cause a fairly massive load on the systems handling the logs.
  14. Have you logged off and taken a break during the job? Because the time on the server continues when you're offline, which means if you take a break it will very easily end up very late.
  15. Changed. You will need to log out and in at the forum for it to be updated here.
  16. Yeah, the minimum has been 4 characters for a while now. You could add a _ or . to the name.
  17. @FHA Can confirm this bug exists. It's caused by a whitespace character in your name field, which is counted before it is trimmed. I have reverted your namechange, and if you would like to, I can change the name to something else (since your namechange cooldown will still apply), just quote this message.
  18. Considering the playercounts, 4600 reports is a bit but not a very large amount. Regarless, our goal is to respond within reasonable time, having small report queues is less important.
  19. Woops. My mistake, didn't double check it. I even knew beforehand Vienna is in Austria <.< I blame the flag of Vienna for being too similar to the flag of Poland
