Reaper42 Posted November 9, 2019 Report Posted November 9, 2019 There are a lot of different ways to play ATS. I just upgraded to the Thrustmaster Wheel and shifter. What does everyone else use?
Guest Posted November 9, 2019 Report Posted November 9, 2019 Been using keyboard steering for decades, first started on the Amiga. Fully used to it (gaming on keyboard) now, doubt I’ll revert to anything else.
Dogbert Posted November 9, 2019 Report Posted November 9, 2019 MS Sidewinder 2 joystick for steering, keyboard for everything else.
Brenbear87 Posted November 10, 2019 Report Posted November 10, 2019 I have a g27 and I absolutely love it!
Space Night Posted November 10, 2019 Report Posted November 10, 2019 g29 + megashifter SKRS head, 2 keyboards, trackball and mouse. and recently "g_hshifter_synchronized 0" was typed into the developer console. bye bye sweet smooth changes, hello gear grinding
meLadyBear Posted November 11, 2019 Report Posted November 11, 2019 Heyyy ... I use a controller. One question to ask yourself is what can you afford? If you want the complete simulation experience then I recommend a wheel that has clutch, gas, break, and shifter. Safe Travels!!
Lorciaa Posted November 14, 2019 Report Posted November 14, 2019 All the time with keyboard, maybe someday I'll upgrade it to something like g29 or other.
_ROSCO_ Posted November 15, 2019 Report Posted November 15, 2019 i use the G29 and Thrustmaster THA8 shifter absolutely love it Join us at Truckers United we are hiring.
Chev Posted November 16, 2019 Report Posted November 16, 2019 I use and definitely recommend the Logitech G920 + the shifter. I first started out by using just a controller and the keyboard. Have a question? Feel free to message me. Feedback | Rules | Support | News | Meet the Team
HAR_Sabre Posted November 16, 2019 Report Posted November 16, 2019 I started playing ATS with an old Act Labs ForceRS with all the options that I bought over 20 years ago. I've since modernized (not sure if it's really an upgrade...) to a Thrustmaster T150. I works great for ATS, but if I was still actively racing online I don't think this wheel would be precise enough. There are definitely things I miss about the ForceRS.
