TMP Game Stutter / Freeze

Kiraida

Question

Hey guys

I've already opened a ticket, but they cant help me (yet) but maybe some of you can.

So when I start TMP, the game just starts to stutter for a second or two all 8-10 seconds. Like in this video made by an other guy a couple of months ago. ( https://youtu.be/FTvLDt_vbo4 )

I followed many guides, reinstalled everything and what so ever.
( like this one: )

My rig is fine too, no problems or stuttering in single player.

GTX 1080, 6600k @ 4.5ghz, 32gb Ram, fiber optic internet, etc.

The only thing that I noticed is that the game is slowing down my GPU. It's causing somehow stuttering and downclocking. My GPU Load and Usage is going from 100% to 0% every 8-10 seconds. Even the Core and Memory Clock are 10 times lower during those game freezes.
You can see it by yourself in the pic down below (GPU-Z and GPU Meter).

As I said before, this only happens while in menus or driving while TMP opened. There has to be a problem with the TMP software.

Thanks in advance and kind regards

Kiraida

Hello :)

Try these

1. Locate and Secure your Profiles, Copy them to a seperate Folder.

ATS: http://prntscr.com/f7ofiu

ETS: http://prntscr.com/f6bney

2. Then de-install ATS/ETS2 via Steam and de- install TruckersMP.

3. Restart your PC.

4. Then start searching for all old Folders of TruckersMP and ATS/ETS2 and Delete them. A RegCleaner Software will be helpfull. Sometimes there are "Dumb" Folders/Paths to ATS/ETS2, that were created by the TruckersMP Launcher.

5. When u deleted all Folders, Restart ur PC Again.

6. Log In to Steam-->Rightclick on Steam--->Settings-->Download-->Steam Library Folders-->Add Library Folder---->Choose another Partition or Hdd and mark it as Default Library.

7. After that Procedure, Re- Install ATS/ETS2 via Steam into the new Library, make sure you installing this Version.

ETS: http://prntscr.com/f7nmne

ATS: http://prntscr.com/f85fz

important: Check TruckersMP for the actual Versions of the Game, they can be different!!

8. Start the Game in Single Player and check the Version. Create a new Profile, but do not Drive. Close the Game.

9. Search with Windows File Explorer the Path to the ETS/ATS Installation. Keep this Path in Mind.

After that, download the actual Version of TruckersMP, unpack it to a seperate Folder. Install it from this Folder as Administrator.

Make sure that you having the right Path to the Games when you Installing TruckersMP.

You have to check them manually, do not let the Launcher Auto searching for them.

10. After the Installation start the Launcher as Administrator and let him finishing his Downloads. Then start the Multiplayer. If you can Play, close the Game and insert your old Game Pofiles.

Hello,

If you have tabs open such as:

- Google chrome

- Games

- Steam

- Steam chat

- YouTube

Etc..

I recommend closing those tabs.

Have you tried running TruckersMP as an administrator?

- Right click on TruckersMP

- Click run as an administrator

Regards,

-Arctic Wolf

Stay happy and safe

I think it has something to do with nvidia drivers... I have gtx 960 and I've experienced exactly same issues in CSGO and few other games. My GPU usage would randomly drop to 0 % for like minute and during that time I had like 4 fps... Now it's fine for me as it doesn't happen anymore. Maybe you can try to clean install your graphics driver.

Tried everything and nothing worked.
It has nothing to do with my setup or how I'm running it. It has to be the TMP launcher.
The driver itself has been updated yesterday, so this cant be the problem.

Idk man, I think that if it has something to do with launcher more people would be experiencing this kind of problem... Maybe you just pressed "express install" in nvidia driver setup, I would really suggest you to clean install your gpu driver... I had exactly same issue and It just dissapeared when I reinstalled my graphics driver... You can also look for bios, cpu, ... driver updates

Trust me my drivers are just fine but I will reinstall them tomorrow and look if anything will change.
There are some others experiencing this kind of problem, even the support told me that
"Hi,
Some other users are also experiencing this issue, so I will add this to the main issue.
I hope we can find you a solution soon!
"

I've tried a lot of things today, even forcing my GPU to be on full clock speed. But nothing worked..

The only thing that I found out today is that the stuttering appears exactly every 16 seconds.

Well I'll try my luck and continue to search for the root of this problem.
