lagging while playing

Hi people! For the 1st time I entered multiplayer ETS2, and when I'm close to some player, I am starting to lag, any solutions how to boost my fps and stop the lag ? (I don't care how will my graphics look, I just want to play without lags) and by the way, in options on ETS2 everything is on minimum.

Servers lately lag a bit , and around people with high ping its also laggy , avoid high populated areas of the map. What is your ping?

About what areas of the map are you traveling when it drops? Are you in a high populated area? Are you driving down the highway and suddenly only getting 10FPS causing your game to freeze/rubber band? 

 

Ingame:

- Enable Vsync   It is always better to having a Stable FPS Rate around 60 than often a Jumping between 180 till 45 or lower.

- Set Scale to 400%

- Disable MLAA

- Disable DOF

- Set all following Quality Settings to max.

- Disable Anisotropic Filtering by moving the Slider to the left Side.

Follow Baldemar Deutsch´s Guide to open the MP Settings. By the Way, Baldemar have to make new Screenshots, this Ones are outdated! 

Depending on your Internet Connection and your PC Spec´s, the following Setting Increasing or Decreasing the Graphic Performance and your own Lags or your Lagging to other User.

 

- Development Logging  

- Smoothing Distance

- Load Cabin Accessoires

- Load Flags

- Aditional Lights

- Draw Distance

Please set your setting for Mp . Maybe it can solved for your lag problem . İf you have still problem . Please send a post

Settings Opening Your Menu

 

 

Press TAB when connected to the server.

Once you click on the right mouse button, the mouse will be activated.

Then click the Settings () button at the bottom.

To save the settings after you have made the desired settings, first press Apply then OK to close the settings window and click the right button of the mouse again.

Development logging :You can close and open log records from this section. (My Documents / ETS2MP / logs).

Low detailed models: Use less detailed models - faster to load but less quality.

Drivers animation: You can turn off and turn on the driver steering animations from this section.

Smoothing distance: Adjust the distance of objects that appear to be highly detailed in your area. (150m-500m).

Season efects: You can turn off snow from this area and turn it on.

Steam notifications position:You can specify the location of the Steam notification window.

Player tag : In the vote is the text that appears next to your name. You can adjust the balance.

Load cabin accessories: You can turn off other players' cabin accessories here. (You need to restart the game)

Load flags: You can turn off the flags of other players in the glass here. (You need to restart the game)

Scale NameTags: Scales player names by distance.

Player on the world map: You can close the icons of other players on the world map, you can change your colors. You can also assign different colors to your steam friends.

Speed limiter [90km / h]: You can turn the speed limit off and on from this section.

Default CB radio channel: You can change the default CB radio channel here.

 

Speaker device: You can change the audio device to be used in the rating here.

Master volume: You can adjust the main volume from this section.

Windows opacity: You can change the transparency of the player list, multiplayer game settings screens.

Show speaking player: Shows who is speaking on the radio

Note: You can return to the default settings from the Set defaults button. Settings My Documents / Enroll in ETS2MP / config.txt file.

You should start TruckersMP as admin. This is really important.

Also try to start TruckersMP with DirectX (64)

Guide:

> Go to your steam App
> Go to library
> Go to ETS 2 / ATS
> Click "Play" 
> Choose "Launch with DirectX (64-bit). Make sure you chose 64 bit.
> Start ETS 2
> Choose your profile and press "drive"
> Close ETS 2
> Start TruckersMP as admin. TruckersMP will start with DirectX for all time. Except you change it again.

Also try to reinstall TruckersMP.

Go to '%programdata%' and delete the folder 'TruckersMP'. After that uninstall TruckersMP and download the MOD again: https://truckersmp.com/download -> Launch the installer as admin

Try these

1. Locate and Secure your Profiles, Copy them to a seperate Folder.

2. Then de-install ATS/ETS2 via Steam and de- install TruckersMP.

3. Restart your PC.

4. Then start searching for all old Folders of TruckersMP and ATS/ETS2 and Delete them. A RegCleaner Software will be helpfull. Sometimes there are "Dumb" Folders/Paths to ATS/ETS2, that were created by the TruckersMP Launcher.

5. When u deleted all Folders, Restart ur PC Again.

6. Log In to Steam-->Rightclick on Steam--->Settings-->Download-->Steam Library Folders-->Add Library Folder---->Choose another Partition or Hdd and mark it as Default Library.

7. After that Procedure, Re- Install ATS/ETS2 via Steam into the new Library, make sure you installing this Version.

important: Check TruckersMP for the actual Versions of the Game, they can be different!!

8. Start the Game in Single Player and check the Version. Create a new Profile, but do not Drive. Close the Game.

9. Search with Windows File Explorer the Path to the ETS/ATS Installation. Keep this Path in Mind.

After that, download the actual Version of TruckersMP, unpack it to a seperate Folder. Install it from this Folder as Administrator.

Make sure that you having the right Path to the Games when you Installing TruckersMP.

You have to check them manually, do not let the Launcher Auto searching for them.

10. After the Installation start the Launcher as Administrator and let him finishing his Downloads. Then start the Multiplayer. If you can Play, close the Game and insert your old Game Pofiles.

If you have tabs open such as: 

 

- Google

- Google Chrome

- Steam

- other games

- YouTube 

 

Etc..

 

I suggest closing those tabs so you won't lag as much.

Regarding your problem, if you drive in areas of high population such as Rotterdam, Calais, Duisberg, Amsterdam, Lille, Disseldorf and surroundings, it is normal to experience lag. You should avoid these areas if this is the case. There has been some more detailed replies above and it would be useless to repeat them. Assuming you have read them, we would like to know if any of those replies have helped you to get your problem solved, if so please let us know!
