Installation problem

Hi! I installed ETS2, and now I want to play it. I click the "play" button and the game wont open. Then I checked my "Documents" and I dont have the "ETS2" file and probably the game wont open because that file is missing. I tried reinstalling the game, it didnt helped. Please help me people.

Try running it as it an administrator:

 

- Right click on TruckersMP 

- Click run as an administrator

As an option, it is quite possible that not all updates of the system are installed (Win10 same), Steam is demanding for this. If the update does not help, then only reinstall the system. But while this should not be done, wait for someone else to unsubscribe. And throw off please game log, you need to see what's there) thanks for your understanding)

Hey man, 

You could attempt verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam. To do this go to your Steam library > ETS2 > right click > properties > local files > verify integrity of game files. I hope this fixes the issue for you

Try this solutions:

 

• Make sure you are starting Multiplayer via the downloaded Multiplayer launcher. 
• That you have fully opted out of all the betas and using the latest version of Euro Truck Simulator 2 (or downgraded version if required) and made sure that you are also using the latest version of the ETS2MP mod. There's always a chance that you could easily miss a patch for ETS2MP mod, so double check that you are on the latest version.
• Instead of installing your Multiplayer files anywhere, try installing/moving your Multiplayer files into the same folder where Euro Truck Simulator 2 is installed in. 
• Make sure your user account is an administrator. Start Steam and ETS2MP as an administrator.

Well, I still didnt installed mp because my sp isnt working, so any solutions ? I tried updating my windows 10, but it always tells me some error and i always click retry and always error, so are there some other ways to update windows 10 ?

Hello,

Please go to your Steam directory in the ETS2 folder and delete the folder there: "bin".

Then try going into Steam and verify the integrity of your game cache.

You can do this by right-clicking on either American Truck Simulator or Euro Truck Simulator 2 in Steam, click Properties, go to the local content tab and then click "Verify integrity of game files..."

Please check if your firewall or antivirus program blocks ETS2 / ATS.

 

- Press the windows-key + R, type '%programdata%' and hit Enter

- Search for the folder 'TruckersMP' and delete it

- Navigate to the installation path of TMP and run 'unins000.exe'

- Perform a Windows Disk Cleanup on C and the drive where TMP has been installed

- Re-download the launcher from TruckersMP.com

- Install TMP again, IMPORTANT: Make sure to install it into the Steam-folder where ETS 2 is installed as well. So in the end the path should be something like 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TruckersMP'.

- Make sure to start TMP as an admin, press F1 to install all the most recent updates and check if the problem still persists.

1. Start a command line as an administrator (cmd)

2. Run the command:

 

sfc /scannow

 

3. Wait, and then restart your computer

4. Run a single game in x64 DirectX mode (Launch witch DirectX for ATS)

5. Drive a short distance

6. Exit Game

7. Start multiplayer

Thanks guys for the help! All I had to do is update my windows 10, i installed the latest updates from their site, and now I can run ETS2 ! Multiplayer here i come!!
