If you want to deliver event trailers, you have to play singleplayer. If you don't, just downgrade ETS 2- then you can able to play truckersmp! Good luck! If you deactivate automatic updates for ETS2 on Steam (right click, properties, updates), and don't let the update happen, you can still play multiplayer. 15 minutes ago, UnScottable said: how do you downgrade?
