What's wrong with current TMP players?

I remember the golden era of the perfect division of servers into EU1 and EU2, i.e. people who want to indulge in simulation in peace and those who don't have time to get bored at 110 km/h and know what quicksave is for.
Road to Simulation was definitely the stupidest thing that could have been implemented - mixing 2 extremely different types of players in 1 rubbish tip (no one plays on Arcade because there are no collisions).

When I heard about Back to Basics I was very happy, hoping for a return to glory, finally players got what they had been fighting for for 4 years. However, it's been almost 2 years since this change but in reality it turns out that the vast majority choose Simulation 1 and its advantage is even greater than EU2 used to be over EU1. WHY?

I will also add that for me the optimal speed limit could be 130 km/h, which is safe and not boring. And why is the limit not 90 km/h on Simulation 1? It would also not be a bad idea to ban Simulation 1 whem player play there inappropriately, which would allow them to still use the rest of the servers, and the rules on Simulation 2 could be less restrictive.

Think despite the trolls and those who don't take the game seriously. People choose to go on Simulation 1 as it has the most players. The more players there the more opportunity there is for more simulation. As well when you got a server with barely any people on it does tend to get quite boring driving on an empty road by yourself.

The current state of TruckersMP is truly concerning. Back in the day, the balance created by the EU1 and EU2 servers provided a suitable environment for both simulation enthusiasts and those who preferred a more relaxed driving experience. However, the "Road to Simulation" process eliminated this separation and forced two completely different player bases into the same place. The result? Chaos. Arcade servers are not appealing because there are no collisions, while Simulation 1 has surpassed even EU2’s former dominance.

When "Back to Basics" was announced, I was excited like many others. Finally, the changes that players had been demanding for years would be implemented, and the long-lost TruckersMP experience would return. But what actually happened? Nothing changed. In fact, the interest in Simulation 1 has grown even more than EU2’s dominance over EU1 in the past. How is this possible? Despite players wanting more freedom, why do the majority still accept the 110 km/h limit?

Regarding speed limits, 110 km/h is neither realistic nor fun. A limit of 130 km/h could provide a safe yet engaging experience. If the goal is true simulation, then why isn’t the speed limit set at 90 km/h? If the intention is to offer a more realistic experience, then it should be done properly.

A more radical suggestion would be banning players who break the rules in Simulation 1 only from that specific server instead of banning them entirely. This way, a rule compliant simulation environment could be maintained while players seeking more freedom could still enjoy alternative servers like Simulation 2 or Arcade.

In conclusion, there is a major contradiction in TruckersMP’s current system, and rather than satisfying players, this contradiction is creating further division. If the goal is to establish a balance that keeps everyone happy, a more flexible and fair structure should be developed based on player feedback.

I play on sim 1 the 110kmh speed limit is realistic and i think it was done as in stand euro truck eu laws where trucks are governed at 65 mph 110 kph so in that sense sim 1 is realistic to speed limits 150 is not  unless something changes sim1 will always have the most players i enjoy it regarding the bans i dissagree anyone breaking the rules should be banned from truckersmp not just from the server (as in happens now )

This has been much debated, but regarding speed limits, if we ignore all the highway speed limits in Europe, 110 km/h reflects the average quite well, I think it's sufficient, neither too much nor too little. As for why people concentrate on the sim1 server, firstly it's popular and crowded, but a large part of the players really don't like speed. I think there are many people who enjoy playing realistically.

I am going to be generally honest with you, when I speak to some players about this. They tend to only go on Simulation 1 so they can get the 'realism' of driving due to the amount of players in some popular areas like Calais, Duisburg, LondonPrague and others..

Simulation 2 is used to a lot of VTC convoy session as well, so at times, the server can be quite populated and that is why. I personally tend to drive on Simulation 1 for the 'fun of it'.

Either we think the same way or you're a bot that copied my post. XD You probably put it even better, because my English is not perfect.

I'm from Poland. Is it that obvious? XD
The map you sent is for passenger cars, if I'm not mistaken trucks in Europe don't go faster than 90. So why isn't the limit on Simultion 1 90?

I know that it is, I myself choose Simulation 1 against my will, seeing the advantage in the number of players.

But why did the community once prefer EU2, not EU1?

It's a vicious circle: not many players on S2 -> I choose S1 -> not many players on S2... Without some restrictions from above, it won't be stopped.

And it's not just that I (and similarly players) want ride 150. I am also aware that sometimes I can irritate fans of real simulation with my riding. (Of course, I don't do things that directly ruin the game for anyone.)

I had posted a photo showing the speed limits on highways of European countries because there are other vehicles like Skoda in the game.
On Sim1, many players also complete World of Trucks jobs (WOT speed limit is 90 km/h).
But if the speed limit on Sim1 is set directly to 90, it may not reflect the average speed players want. I think a 110 km/h speed limit does not break realism too much and also does not make the speed too low.

The fact that someone performs WOT orders (not taking events into account) is their problem, because they have only disadvantages.

Passenger cars should have a separate restriction...

110 is definitely too slow for players like me, but for simulation fans there is more than enough... The perfect compromise would be 130, which is still safe.

However, if we already have a division of servers, maybe it would be better to focus on equalizing the number of players on them...
