TMP has restricted speeds for a reason. So that you can't get banned for trying to take a corner at 150+. If you want those high speeds:

1. Play SP with mods.
2. Find a racing game that supports high speed racing.
3. Or, play the game with the posted speed limits.

I like car driving with TMP physics. The fact that i'm here making a suggestion means that i don't wanna play a racing game but rather stay on TMP. It must be shocking for you that someone enjoys a game in a different way than you do.

 

Currently on Sim 2, i could in theory take a corner at 150 km/h. So, i don't really see a major difference than having no speed limit. TMP management have included car driving for a reason and Simulation 2 was introduced as a casual server.

 

What's rather funny is that i'm certain that none of you is playing on Sim 2 anyway, but you're all obsessing about this Server settings like it will have a major impact on your gameplay somehow.

The reoccuring discussions about the speed limit show that there is a need for action on the part of the TruckersMP team.

 

I could imagine a server configuration

• with disabled speed limits,
• enabled collisions, and
• without any moderation by the TruckersMP team, meaning, possible raised reports baed on that specific server would not be viewed or processed at all.

There has been such a server in the past and nobody wants to play on a no-moderation server. Driving over the speed limit is not the same as trolling and causing harm on purpose to other players which should be bannable action. A cautious player will never crash even when driving over the limit as long as he knows when he needs to slow down.

1. So it could be a convoy escort.
2. So game mods could stand out with the police skin.

You're right. I don't play Sim 2 because it's dead. It's highly unlikely it will be added anyways. What's funny is how your fighting a losing battle since your name is Random Truck Driver. So enjoy flipping yourself and having to drain your money from all the repairs from going 150. I'll be on Sim 1 (NOT CD :SurprisedPikachu:) enjoying going 110 without worries.

Which server would that be?

If you are referring to the arcade server, then you're mistaken. On the arcade server, collisions were disabled, which was the often stated reason why players avoided to use it.

No i was referring to the FreeRoam Server and while it might have been fun to try this server for one or two times, nobody would consider driving there consistently

Just let him do 150 around some sharp corners. It will drain his money to the point he'll either be in debt and lose the car. Or have to swap back to a truck to play the game.

Plus, we won't see him on the non casual servers. If only the casual servers could drop the speed limit to 10.

I said 10 to be the opposite of what op wants. Otherwise, the speed limit for (simulation players: the posted limit) or (limiter: of what the server sets you to and you can't exceed it).

As long as TruckersMP doesn't enforce server-sided, non-tweakable player profiles, they will continue to adjust their money accounts, experience, level, etc. according to their needs. So money won't run out anytime soon.

For me personally, Convoy mode of ETS2 is superior to TMP for the simulation aspect of the game (given the traffic and mods) and that won't probably change in the near future. Recently i also discovered the smaller car and i have to say that you've done a great job with it. You even simulated the shaking that smaller cars suffer from at high speeds (Assuming that was intentional). Anyway, I don't think that Simulation 2 needs a Speed limit especially in its current state and it's always frustrating reaching the speed limit knowing that your vehicle has more strength in it. Please do consider removing it entirely from the highway. It will make car driving even more fun.
