  1. Because no person can outsmart physics, no matter how good his or her driving experience is.
  2. Heavy Haul, unchartered territories and Yosemite valley...? That's a brain teaser.
  3. The usage of turn signals are an important mean to increase road safety and a requirement of road traffic regulations. I use them whenever I change my direction of travel, for example, changing lanes, and turns. It is worth noting that the usage of turn signals should be executed in timely manner. They should be used before and during the change of direction.
  4. Which server would that be? If you are referring to the arcade server, then you're mistaken. On the arcade server, collisions were disabled, which was the often stated reason why players avoided to use it.
  5. Hello @Saschi VanRox, thanks for sharing your impressions. Reckless drivers have always been a problem of TruckersMP. You can only counteract this problem by recording and reporting game rule violations. The best way to do this is to use the Web Report System. According to the game rules, speed limits and red lights can be ignored, if no other player is endangered. In practice however this does not really work. As usual, I would like to recommend the "three R's" to you: Record, Report and Relax.
  6. The usage of a photo of the crashed Turkish Airlines Flight 1951 (time stamp 2:47) in the context of a "funny" video is highly inappropriate and disrespecful to the victims (the crash resulted in 9 fatalities and 84 injuries). Show some manners and respect and take the video off or replace it.
  7. The reoccuring discussions about the speed limit show that there is a need for action on the part of the TruckersMP team. I could imagine a server configuration with disabled speed limits, enabled collisions, and without any moderation by the TruckersMP team, meaning, possible raised reports baed on that specific server would not be viewed or processed at all.
  8. Thanks for the interesting news! I didn't know about it.
  9. First and foremost, I drive at a speed that I consider safe. It corresponds to the national and local speed limits but is usually lower than that because I take into account other factors such as the traffic situation, the weather situation, the course of the road, the truck, trailer, and cargo, and last but not least, my driving experience.
  10. Many road sections are speed-limited to increase road safety. The road between Duisburg and Calais is no exception, where speed is limited to 50 km/h, 60 km/h, and 80 km/h, depending on the section and direction of travel. Considering these facts, driving along that road at a speed of 110 km/h is unsafe and dangerous. I recommend to always follow local speed limits and adapt your speed to the traffic situation, the weather situation, the course of the road, the truck, trailer and cargo, and your driving experience.
  11. IIRC, the veteran badge shows the number of years that have passed since a player created a TruckersMP forum account .
  12. Unruly drivers have repeatedly cut me off, tailgated me, and rammed me off the road. Most of them (if not all) were impatient and driving at an excessive and unsafe speed. While it is their choice to drive at a speed that they feel comfortable at, it is disappointing that they ruin other players fun and game experiences. Players who like to race should do so either on a designated race track or in another game. Such behavior is definitely out of place on public roads.
  13. @Jason_Stephen and @FernandoCR [ESP] nailed the answer to your question, @Ali Fidan.
  14. Someone who feels the urge to show off in front of his friends is not ready for the position of game moderator.
  15. The system can be abused by a group of players agreeing to specifically report another player.
  16. In a system whose priority is based on the severity of an offense, the question of who defines the severity resonates and casts doubt on the objectivity of the system.
  17. It is a typical characteristic of reckless drivers not to obey traffic rules. That's why changing road traffic signals and signs does absolutely nothing.
  18. When did you say SCS released ETS3...?
  19. TruckersMP was always plagued by impatient and reckless driving players. Did their number increase? Maybe, caused by the softening of the rules.
  20. Isn't that the desired result of the recent decisions made by the TruckersMP team? I'm just waiting for one of them to state that the stack of reports has gotten out of hand.
  21. Players attract other players, even more than a raised speed limit. I guess that's what multiplayer is about in the first place.
  22. Hello @Flxme_, how do you define a false call? What happens if no game moderator is on duty?
  23. It is remarkable that it is often the authors of so-called "Idiots on the Road" videos themselves who do exactly what they criticize others for doing.
