  1. Suggestion Name: Duisburg Intersection Improvement Suggestion Description: Same as name. Why should it be added?: Traffic leaving Duisburg & Traffic coming in is a nightmare. Not only would this improve the flow of traffic. It would also extend the NCZ to where it's needed. As you can see here. This is leaving Duisburg. Right after the gas station and at the edge of the NCZ. It's a nightmare getting out and people don't know what driving is. People queue up before the NCZ. Adding the extra lane will improve traffic flow. This is my concept. The road becomes 2 lanes after the gas station. Extend the NCZ until the ramps (see concept). Remove the traffic light Have both ways be 2 lanes as it flies over CD Road. With a barrier between both sides and no shoulder on the ramp. Have a single lane road for paths not on this road. Placement can be adjusted. Concept gives rough idea of what should be done. The 2 lanes can go until the Calais intersection. (perhaps add dividers and keep it flowing like the concept map to prevent late mergers from cutting?). This should be a permanent solution since i doubt SCS is going to do anymore revamps in this area whenever they get around to Belgium.
  2. I was finally able to attend my first event. Been banned or missed all the previous ones. Anyways, i liked the concept of it. Incorporate these into Simulation servers. I tried my best to follow the event map (i think a more detailed map should show the roads for larger scales like this one). Nothing happened on the highways. Majority of the gantry's were empty. A couple were showing ramp closed and a red X with no flashing lights. The only op's i came across were: Roadwork leaving Calais, Train derailment outside Brussels, Left lane closed in the hilly tunnel btwn Amsterdam & Rotterdam, and roadwork at an intersection outside Paris. Towards the end, someone claimed they knew where all the op's were because they had an admin friend send them the details. I also saw some police chases that only went through the Brussels-Lille Traffic Jam. Things that need to be improved on. This event felt more like Simulation 1 then an actual event. Make more stuff happen on the highways. In addition to the surface streets. I was expecting the signs to change on me, while driving, to make me have to adapt to it. Pull more players over. I believe the blog said "you may get pulled over". I even sped past a cop doing speed limiter on the highway, nothing. Have more police chases with random players then a small handful of pre-selected players.
  3. I've made a clip of it: here. I've done a search using "ats", "map", "scroll", "bug" and found 0 results. Basically, this is the bug i've been getting and only with ATS. ETS 2 did not have this bug. After installing ATS, i installed 2 mods, one that boosts xp and one that boosts money. After i got all skills and some money, i disabled them and loaded my save to continue there, for mp. But everytime i scroll the map, it won't scroll. I can zoom and set waypoints, but it won't let me scroll the map.
  4. Suggestion Name: Calais Intersection Improvement Suggestion Description: Improve the intersection. Improve Traffic Flow. Any example images: Yes. ^ This is the overview of the project. There's room for improvement as the team sees fit (lanes, positioning, ect). ^ This is the problem spot. Admittedly, there was roughly 2,800 players on at the time. Leaving the highway and leaving the city is what makes this a problem spot. ^ It's Accident prone from getting off the highway to getting across the problem spot. Sure, there might be nice players to let the roads alternate traffic flow. But not every player thinks alike. ^ Regardless of whether it's driving skills, being impatient, wanting to troll, or some other reason, it's accident prone. (Really glad i got to witness this one). ^ And can result in a traffic mess. Why should it be added?: Traffic flow will increase by removing the problem spot. Either direction won't need to cross paths allowing for improved traffic flow. Sadly, scenes like this can't be fixed. See image and below it. It's similar to how it looks IRL and this is what's in place on the ProMods map. For anyone focused about WoT contracts, i've got a solution for you. Just go around. Longer yes, but you won't have to worry about any impacts.
  5. Later on, i took a look at how the intersection looks. TMP Map This is how it looks on the ProMods server and is very similar to how it looks on a real map. Take a look at it in Street View you should be able to grasp that this will solve the problem.
  6. So i took a look at the ProMods layout on the TMP Map. And it already has the updated interchange (as mentioned above).
  7. Yea. But if it wasn't for that, would Sim 1 have 4800 players? I doubt it.
  8. Just look out for me. You might get banned, but you'll be in a video. For the topic, i went ahead and compiled an undiscovered overview of the area. Use it and plan your alt(s).
  9. You have a better solution? Regardless, idiots will always drive off the road because they are impatient. So far, i have 2 solutions Is the light this topic is mainly about. The exit of Duisburg got one and you can see the results for yourself. As mentioned in this reply, a new interchange would ease the flow into and out of Calais as exiting the highway doesn't need to cross the road. I'm all for the interchange update, like they did with Brussels-Rotterdam.
  10. The Eastern Exit of Duisburg is a prime example of adding a light. On the base map, there's just a Yield for leaving Duisburg. The light is about 75% effective as the queue waits. Don't believe me? Check this out and scroll the the Duisburg exit. Even as the queue goes into the city, players may still respect NCZ and treat it as if there's no NCZ. And when that happens, players leave through the southern exit just to turn left at that first road. The queue there does backup but majority of players in it are going straight. Thank you. That can be said anywhere. Just hope they interfere with your driving so you can report them and give them a 2 week ban. If it works, go for it. Though i suspect the problem with merging will still happen. I checked Google Maps and this is what it would look like. Zoomed In. But it won't be official until SCS revamps the base map. Netherlands, UK, Belgium. Technically, Calais is in France.
  11. How many of us have been in the area of Calais? Whether we are leaving the city of getting off the highway, the area is heavily populated. Players exiting the highway has to deal with this. Sometimes, rather long queues with anyone trying to queue cut to be on the exit ramp first. My suggestion would be to add a light at this intersection that would allow both queue's to flow (hopefully, in turns). Of course, there will still be light runners, but nothing can be done about them. Why should this be added? For 2 reasons Getting into Calais from CD Road/Lille areas can be a struggle in itself. Some players don't know how the intersection works and will just proceed on as if nobody's there.

  13. Yea. It's like 9-5 that it counts for. I have not. The latest update did not add a horn for the vehicle. I just tried it in a session today.
  14. It's still mandatory. However, the script detects it from about 7pm-5am. (I've turned my lights off at 5:01am and it wasn't telling me to turn them back on). Is it? Haven't had a chance to play since making the topic. I'll try to play tomorrow.
  15. Bought the vehicle in game. Tried honking and no sound played. Yes, my game sounds are on and yes, my audio volume is also. If i may ask, is there a reason why this vehicle lacks a horn?

    Hello. Today is my second session of attempting to play online for this game. I don't know what's going on. ATS has no problems, but ETS 2 does have one. Upon logging in the my first session, i was there for 45 minutes, just driving around the NCZ in Katowice (which had less close players). I then went into this second session to play and waited 30 minutes before calling it quits in Luxembourg. I checked the console log and there's minor errors about missing "sha_x_ori" with the caravan and a couple of non physical cog's here and there.
  17. I love it when they give us treats about a new expansion. I can't read the local language there but i'm sure i'll get lost without a GPS.
  18. It's crashed for me about 3 times today. It's probably based on a per player basis. After the cap was raised, the player count got up to about 3350 before everyone was frozen in place. Then there was a russian blocking the calsis-duisburg road ramp and everyone was frozen. And after i left Calsis, That's when my connection broke
  19. And now with the server cap being rasied to 3500, expect even more chaos on that road. I'll take a job and just drive through it for recording purposes. On Jan 7th, i was doing a convoy (that didn't wait for me) and i ended up getting stuck in a traffic jam. This road will continue to be used. Unless it is to be remapped to have more lanes or even be a divided road with a medium. Or if the GPS diverts deliveries around the road. Or the road gets removed from the game and be replaced with say dead end roads that leave to like gas stations. But of course, nothing will really change until the whole country gets the touchup.
  20. Cool update. 2800 player cap O O. I can never go back to EU 2 due to horrible lag i always get. I did notice that in kat.pw's livestream (for ETS 2), when some players turn, their truck sort of spazzed into their trailer for a bit. Or maybe i'm just crazy and saw playback lag.
  21. Yea. i had this issue as well. First time i tired, it kept connecting (which then made me check here and found out why). Then, a couple nights ago, i was able to play for a bit but then got bugged out. I was still connecting as my ping was showing different numbers like when i play but couldn't chat. Let's hope its fixed and here to stay
  22. Reopen the download. Only check ATSMP. And yes, you do need the mod to be able to play online, otherwise, its single player all the way.
  23. Multiplayer is not downloadable while playing in game. You have to get it from the truckersmp site.
