Too High Ping?

I've only just noticed this but I have a fibre optic connection with 60MBPS Download and 20-30Mbps Upload speed and for some reason the game kicks me for having a ping of 3000ms? I'm using a wired connection and the router is connected to the master socket and I'm only 5 metres away from the socket.

 

Any help?

1. Do a dns flush, Clicky here on how to do that

2. Clear your PC's temp files with Clean Master for PC

3. Open up your Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del on keyboard and see if there are some updating services running in the background processes , Example: Adobe IPC Broker service,or any form of updater service which updates softwares you use in the background. If you dont know if there are any running provide a screenshot and i will guide you furthur on.)

4. Do a Disk Cleanup of C: drive Clicky here on how to do that , P.S The top right corner where it says Windows 8.1/Windows RT 8.1 , Click drop down arrow and select your version of windows 7/8/10)

5. Disable any unwanted programs you dont want running and hogging internet. Clicky here on how to do that.

 

Id bet on my listed methods to have a ping reduction by a few ms.

If all else fails make a support ticket.

I got kicked for the same reason 1 hour ago I'm not sure if it's my connection or if it's TruckersMP problem, but at that moment I wasn't downloading anything. I checked my connections and there wasn't nothing weird so nobody should be atacking me.

This is just an experience I'm not sure if somethings got bad on my router.

Hello @WhiteWolfie,please follow below steps which might solve your issue

Start by restarting your router. If this doesn't help make sure you have all other connected devices to your network disconnected and try to play with cable if you are over Wi-Fi. If you keep having connection problems try to open the specific ports: 42860, 49200, 42890. Also set Google DNS, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 

 

Make sure Windows Firewall is not blocking the connection. Start by opening Windows Firewall and Restore defaults.

 

or Optimize your Wi-Fi if cable is not an option.
 

Phones are known to cause ping problems really ofter when it tries to sync or backup photos or settings, e-mails etc to the cloud, because it maxes your upload speed in conclusion to get high ping.

You said that you play over Wi-Fi. Playing games over Wi-Fi is not recommended at all, there are many factors that could cause you ping problems.

 

1.Distance, obstacles

2.Adapter and router protocol(B, G, N, AC)

3.Neighbourhood Wi-Fi activity.

 

The simplest test that you can do to achieve a better result is to download a Wi-Fi Analyzer to your phone and try to choose a channel that is not used at all or a channel that doesn't confict your peak signal with

a random one.

Do you had this problem just on 1 Server or on all Servers?

Please try some another Server to test it, but maybe it was just

a issue from MP.

• May be related to where you live.Click here to test your internet speed.Don't forget to share the results with us.
• I recommend that you reset your modem at frequent intervals.This will make it better.
