Game wont start even after deleting configs and controls

Hello, I was trying to start up Euro Truck Simulator 2 from truckersmp and my mouse would not move, so I did what the forum posts were saying and deleted my configs and controls. After I did that I started up the game and it would start but with just a black stripe on the top left of the screen, any suggestions

Try running the multiplayer as an administrator.

 

Verify integrity of game cache.

 

Try opening your game with DirectX

I tried all of these with no success, and I cant start the game with DirectX even after manually installing it. DirectX is what gives the black stripe in the corner of my screen

Please see the resolution of your monitor

• Go in the game, under options in the Graphics tab
• Search for resolution
• Set the resolution that matches your monitor
• And put full screen

The resolution was how it should be and it was in full scree, but I can only get there if I start using OpenGL and the black stripe is only there in DirectX

Access this folder

• C:\Users\xxxxxx\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
• Open the config file
• Search for the following paragraph
• uset r_mode_height "1080"
• uset r_mode_width "1920" 

In my case, it is 1920x1080, make your change in quotation marks from your resolution

Hello @neutralizr3,

Some files in the game may be missing or damaged, Try verifying the files in the game. if the problem does not resolve, delete the files and upload again.

If you have a problem with your mouse, where it doesn't move.. try and press the '~' key below ESC, it should help to get your mouse moving. The mouse problem happend to me, what helped was going into SinglePlayer where it worked fine and then into MP again a few times and it fixed itself , alternatively you can just reinstall truckermp.

I think the problem is a compatibility issue with direct X because the resolution is right

Hello Friend!

 

If you still have your Problems try this Steps:

 

• Search into your System for the Name -> regedit
• Search into regedit for the Names -> Truckers.MP and ETS2MP
• Delete all Files what you can find
• Install the Launcher new
• Start the Launcher with -> admin

I hope this steps will help you with your Problem!
