Winter mod will be supported if the Developers decide to add it into multiplayer. When/If the developers decide to release an MP compatible Winter mod, it will be "embedded" in the launcher, so when you install, you'll have the option to download the extra mod. Then, when you start the game, in the MP settings you'll see the Winter Mod and "Seasonal Effects", which you can enable or disable wether you want to play with or without the snow.
