TMP Client "Troubleshoot"

Hi, when I go to play truckersmp, it sais "an error occurred while contacting our update servers" so I redownloaded it tried again, the same message came up. After, I went through all the beta versions and tried opting out of all betas, it sill comes up with the error message

Hi, if you tried to uninstall the Truckers MP and reinstall it, try solving the problem by using this guide

could you please add a screenshot of the error message? Also make sure that you are starting the TMP-launcher as an administrator and that neither your Windows Firewall or antivirus software is blocking the program.

There is many crash with "an error occurred while contacting our update servers" start. And each wrong have their own fix way.

 

We need a screenshoot to know which one is you meeting.

You can try to restart your router / computer

 

Make sure your firewall + your anti-virus don't block TruckersMP!

sometimes it can just be caused by your internet connection aswell.

Hello LeonLamberghini,

I hope the other response's are didn't help you. Can u try this method's and reply back?
 

1-  Reset your modem two times (  close it again 5 min later ) 

2-  After you reset your modem, reset your computer 1 time

3- Delete game from the add /delete ( and  install back on truckersmp.com )

4- Download steam version 1 more time from the www.steam.com

5- Set up ETS2 again. ( No one solve chosen another delete the steam )

You can try:

1. Turn off and on again the modem
2. Seeing the Firewall is not blocking the connection to the Truckermp server

3. Start by restarting your router. If this doesn't help make sure you have all other connected devices to your network disconnected and try to play with cable if you are over Wi-Fi. If you keep having connection problems try to open the specific ports: 42860, 49200, 42890. Also set Google DNS, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 

   Make sure Windows Firewall is not blocking the connection. Start by opening Windows Firewall and Restore defaults.

If none of these work you could try to clear your Hosts file, enable DHCP, Flush DNS Cache, Clear ARP
