Make sure:

 

You have your mouse plugged in properly

You have updated drivers for your particular mouse

 

How to update drivers

Search in windows for " Computer Managment "

Go to Device Manager after the computer management is opened

Go to Mice and other pointing devices

Select your mouse that you are using and right click and select " Update driver software"

Then select First option which is Automatically search for new updates
