Transcendentalist
Suggestion Name: freeing of inactive usernames Suggestion Description: I would like to suggest the implementation of the feature of freeing a username if there hasn't been a login to the corresponding account for a certain (reasonable) amount of time (a half year, a whole year, you name it) Any example images: self-explanatory without an image Why should it be added?: Players come and go, and some players may have left the game for good. But even after moving on from the game, their usernames remain reserved for all eternity, unusable for others. Why not free those for active users that may have an interest in such a username?
'MaRtY
It's a good idea because now players have '' ' , . '' in addition to their names. '' They started adding these punctuation marks. The main reason for these additions is that the desired nickname is owned by another user. However, as in other social media, a given nickname cannot be accessed unless users permanently close their accounts. Even though we want this player to have his nickname given to someone else because he hasn't been logged in for a long time, if the inactive player changes his mind one day, we may be able to withhold the nickname he previously had. That's why your opinion is a bit problematic on this issue.
Interstate Nomad
Freeing up usernames of inactive users after a certain period of time sounds like a fair way to make those names available for active users. Furthermore it would help keep the username pool fresh and accessible for those who are actively engaged in the game.

Titanic4
While some of you might agree on this, there should be few exceptions from username freeing. One of them are staff members, who passed away at some point. If you want to ask anywhere on forums whenever 32-bit version of MP will be supported in future, try to start GTA V on your 32-bit machine before checking game's system requirements. Instead of quoting the post above, use the ^ character. The character is actually pointing to the post above. I see... this is easally fixable by reminding long abcent* players to remove their accounts. This will free some user names for sure. *A long abcent player is such a player that hasn't been online, in case of THM, for more than 2 years (in this calculation are included banned people). Zak'S
I strongly support this proposal. After setting an overage limit that no one will be victimized, the system should take the names of users who exceed this limit and give them a default name. Those who occupied these names years ago are preventing many people from getting names today. Rfh*
