To add to my above post it no longer gives me the bad output.. It just shows this on the game.sii file

    https://gyazo.com/e63afe26813819c59d10fdd4696face4?token=8f88ded026a303dde85e89ba40e2b423

luckily I made a copy but it seems to have wiped my game file, so that's lucky...

I have never seen a decryptor wipe an entire save ever... I have used 3 different decryptors since 2017 and they never ever gave me any troubles. Backups are always useful for a good reason, there's also the autosaves, or using a different save for making save edit, whichever works best for you.

Personal recommendation, you can use the sii decrypt for any format, it will be a tiny bit slower but at least you can use game format to 0 which prevents tiny spike lag during autosave from format 2.

If the problem persist, you could send me some screenshots. And maybe I can assist further on Discord too if you'd prefer.

  2. @Kykapa4a Maybe you changed something that you shouldn't change inside the game.sii file... Did you edit something like discovered_items? Do you have any backup of your save file before the map crash problem? Are you using the original save game file created in the profile manager? Did you use any mods??? The more details you give, the better... Also you can send a copy of the game.log.txt content (open it with notepad, and copy all the text), and paste it on Pastebin (<- clickable), just don't forget to send the link to the new paste.

  3. Yeah the download link still refers to the old bat file that uses Java 7 I believe... Now there's a few Sii decrypt tools out there, I use one which I compiled from a link that was given a while back which was through Python I believe. Some others program their own one, and I've seen one recently which doesn't require to change the save format to 2 now.

  4. I did say you need company trailer instead of owned trailer. The texture will not appear correctly otherwise... It will take much more advanced save editing skills to know which parts to change and remove.

You will need to remove all the accessories that isn't on a company trailer, like data, markers, rear bumper, front left/right accessories, etc. But you need to keep the chassis, the paint job, and the wheels, and that's it. Don't forget to remove them from the accessories list too (the one with lots of nameless in a row for accessories). And the chassis will need to be replaced with the company trailer. Be careful to just keep the ones you need, and also change the numbers accordingly. It wouldn't make sense to go like 0-1-2-6-8-9, you want them all in order like 0-1-2-3-4-5. Then there's the amount of accessories to change, at the first accessories line with a number at the end. You need to change that as well, which is usually just a number higher than the last [ ] number after you updated them.

I hope that was not too complicated, but someone with enough skills to add and remove accessories should easily do it. It's just updating the list appropriately, and the objects it points to.

How to make this cargo lower?

We can't change the position of the cargo, as the position nodes are hard coded in the game for each parts.

Something I haven't tested, but worth trying would be to use the job/company variant of the flatbed, not the owned one you buy at the trailer dealer.

EDIT: Actually I forgot there was this comment...

This is my 3x 20ft containers setup.

I love using the 2 axles container trailers, as they are shorter and doesn't cause as much troubles as a full length b-triple.

If you're interested to have more technical information about ETS2, about weight and performance, etc., keep on reading.

Did you know that the shortest owned two axles container (gooseneck) single trailer, weighing 2800 kg, is the lightest trailer ever in ETS2? No we're not going to count the dollies. But yeah that container trailer is lighter than the single axle curtain side trailer that is 4160 kg.

As for the "job" trailers (non owned by default), the lightest trailer is the Schwarmüller slide post (logs) at 5400 kg, while the SCS flatbed, gooseneck (container) and log trailers are at 5800 kg. I'm not going to include the dollies and center axles trailers though. The open top (yellow tipper) trailer is at 6500 kg, and the Schmitz kipper solid (tipper or s_ki_solid) trailer is at 6600 kg. All those numbers are when these trailers are empty.

Also, the Mercedes Actros 2009, in a 4x2 configuration, is the lightest chassis weighing only 6754 kg (combined kerb weight), without taking into consideration the 600 liters fuel tank, which would still make it the lightest chassis if we assume that one liter of fuel is 1 kg. Combine that with a 6 speed transmission, and your favorite engine (730 vs 750), and you will have a beast!

I'm not saying that the other trucks aren't good though, the Iveco Stralis 4x2 is 6775 empty tank and 8075 full tank. The Daf XF105 Euro 5 is 6917 empty, and 7917 or 8417 full tank, depending if you have extra tank capacity or not.

I've also read that someone mentioned that the Renault T is "good" and "faster" than some other trucks... Actually, it's among the heaviest trucks in a 4x2 configuration, at 7612 empty, and 8657 or 9087 full, depending if you have extra tank capacity or not. The Renault Premium is at 7657 empty, and 8657 full.

I've also been seeing people using 8x4 trucks with their small trailer (often 1 axle single trailer). Just a reminder that these trucks are among the heaviest, starting at 11900 kg (empty tank), and their turning radius is much higher. They are designed to haul heavy/oversize cargo.

Also, if you want to know the truth about which engine is the best between the Volvo and Scania, yes the Volvo has more torque than the Scania, by a whopping 50 NM!!! If you do care about that 0.14s difference with a 10 tons load (and 4.1 tons trailer), sure go ahead. I still prefer the Scania engine for the extra RPM, since the Volvo FH16 2009 is capped to 2300 RPM and the FH16 2012 is capped at 2000 RPM.

Although, the difference between 2300 and 2500 RPM can be insignificant depending on the scenario. The speed difference can be as much as 16 km/h for one of the highest top speed transmissions, which is already pretty hard to reach within the game... Performance wise, there's not much to gain to go as high as 2500 RPM, I rarely shift over 2000 RPM, but sometimes I like the feel of going as high as possible.

But in the end, it's still a matter of personal preferences, and yeah I might still be biased to lean towards Scania over Volvo.

Are you still hungry for even more technical information? Alright just keep on going.

Did you know that among all the trucks in a 4x2, 12 speed (direct drive) configuration, with their respective maxed out engines, no save editing implied, the fastest accelerating truck is... The Scania R 2016? It's actually 0.3 seconds faster than its S series brother without a trailer and 0.6 seconds faster with a 10 tons load (4.1 tons trailer). Why is that? It all comes to the speed at which the gearbox changes gear. The weight of the Volvo and Scania trucks in a 4x2 configuration are very similar, with a full fuel tank, except the Scania S, because it's 300 kg heavier... As for the transmission, well the Scania 2009 has a 0.9 shift speed (1.0 is default) for any of the 12 speeds or higher transmissions, and 0.7 for the Scania 2016. How much does it impact performances? We're speaking about roughly 1.5 seconds difference with that 10 ton loaded trailer.

Also, is there a big difference in performance between automatic without adaptive transmission, and with high power mode? The answer is simply no, the difference is insignificant. We're talking about 0.02 seconds faster with adaptive off, and 10 tons loaded trailer of course. You may not want to think about fuel economy at this point though... Also it might be better to shift at higher RPM with a 6 speed (up to 2000 RPM), due that some gears have a larger gap in gear ratios.

The fastest reverse speed can be achieved with a ZF 12TX2420TD or ZF 12TX2421TD R from a Daf XF Euro 6. But since its engine is limited to 2200 RPM, it'll limit you to about 66 km/h, vs 75 km/h with a 2500 RPM engine.

The top 3 trailer types with the most cargo choices are

    1. Curtain side (131) which includes ADR explosives loads
    2. Dry van (127)
    3. Flatbed container (60) which includes both flatbed and container loads

And top 3 with the least choices...

    1. Log (4) yep, that's right, it's cool looking, but really not that good
    2. Flatbed brick (6) yeah shame there's not much choice either
    3. Flatbed (21)

The heaviest gross weight possible in the game would be achieved with a full tank in the Mercedes Actros 2014 8x4, hauling a condensator (oversize), for a total of about 95.3 tons! That's if I didn't fail my math... Don't worry, I did them all in high school.

Heaviest weight for largest HCT of each type are

    • Curtain: 49.9T (bottled water)
    • Reefer: 47.0T (beverages)
    • Log: 45.6T (large tubes)
    • Flatbed: 51.1T (metal beams/reinforced bars)
    • Container (non-ADR): 43.4T (beverages container)
    • Container (ADR): 40.0T (heavy metal)

Lightest weight for smallest single trailer of each type are

    • Curtain: 1.7T (harvest bins)
    • Reefer: 1.0T (cut flowers)
    • Log: 18.7T (iron pipes)
    • Flatbed: 4.8T (vent tube)
    • Container (non-ADR): 2.6T (brake fluid)
    • Container (ADR): 3.6T (nitrogen)

And I hope that info can prove helpful, for making certain choices, whether it's during save editing or just playing. Also do note that some of these values come from the game files, some where calculated, and some were tested in-game.

In order to use the company paint job, you need a company trailer. The trailer you buy does not work well with company paint jobs unfortunately.

You will need to modify your owned trailer so that it only have the wheel accessories (original), the chassis, and the paint job. The chassis will need to have the data path of the job trailer. The paint job will need to be like in the picture you provided, with the Scania skin.

  8. I was really not expecting the rules about save editing to take such a sharp turn, in favor for the save editing community. I can see some good, and some bad about it. But I respect that choice, and appreciate the leniency. Already having some experience maneuvering double trailers and a little bit for HCT trailers (in terms of reversing them), I've already took a few cargo jobs with my b-triple (short container) setup, despite that it can be a bit challenging to reverse it. I haven't tried a "full" size b-triple, but I wouldn't take it during busy times.

Now the question is, how far will people push it, and how will it affect TruckersMP in long term?

When it comes to save editing, I support it as well, because to be fair so many trucks look out of the place with mods that just look rather childish and make little to no sense. Feels more like a way for certain people to compensate.

Some people do it wrong, some do it right. But in my opinion, things like this isn't "childish" per se.

TruckersMP had to make a compromise when changing the save editing rules (unfortunately.) They are more than aware of the consequences it would cause.

I know that some people doesn't always appreciate the work done by the save editing community. But some others will definitely miss seeing the cool trucks and/or trailers passing by or parked.

You're not the only one, I know that. But I am one of those people who do save editing for a long time, and I'm ready to defend that community of creators.

  10. @Beep Boop Coming Through Save editing is a culture. If it's not affecting you in any way, then it means you've never deeply got into it. I've gathered a few comments from people that are affected:

Of course there's more, but I think it's best that I don't show them, due to swearing. The save editing rules did upset some people to the point they cancelled their Patreon membership. I've cancelled mine, not only because of the changes to save editing rules, but also because I don't fully agree with the vision of TruckersMP, being so strict to the point it affects a lot of people that didn't have any harmful intentions.

I've had friends who left TMP because of the speed limit update, I've had friends who left because of save editing rules. I know you can't make everyone happy, it's impossible... But it's not going to work if you target the wrong people, just because there has been abuses in the past...

I think TruckersMP should focus more on the people with bad intentions, like the removal of the 3 months ban and going straight to permanent, that's good. But the whole "road to simulation", well... We're all playing a game which we want to enjoy. But the thing is, not everyone enjoys it the same way as others. I can understand that TruckersMP wants to go into a more "professional" and "simulation" experience. But I just think some of the things have been tackled the wrong way.

Anyways, that's just my words, had to let it out.

  11. What I'm trying to understand is why people still expect so much quality for an ALPHA product. I've seen numerous game breaking bugs in the past right after a big version change. But in the end, I knew they would work on it to fix it afterwards. We, the players, are also testers and have a responsibility to report the bugs to the team. In fact, I'm sure most known issues have been brought to the attention to TruckersMP team. I even know some issues that is still present from the time I first got on MP (and these issues probably was never fixed ever since the project has started.) Talking about *cough* freight market jobs/several "in-game years" late jobs. I know there's a workaround, but it's just to mention that it's still an issue ongoing for several years...

It has everything to do with the connection. I have a pretty decent connection with Sky fibre and all game (including OS) are installed on a nvme m.2 ssd’s and when (I don’t now because it defeats the purpose) I join and spawn in a very busy city and/or area even I get the “unreliable connection” status.

    3 hours ago, ScaniaFan89 said:

It has noting to do with the Connection, its purely the time your HDD takes to load everything. Basically because it takes a few seconds to spawn everything the game has a tantrum & decides your lagging

6 hours ago, Turtle Brigade said:

i was kicked from server for my connection wasnt good

Alright I'm going to add my grain of salt here. Was the kick about high average ping or for unreliable connection Turtle Brigade?

-High ping: Abnormal delay of communication between server and client, usually caused by applications taking a large chunk of the home network bandwidth.

-Unreliable connection: Actual data lost between server and client (packet loss), can be caused by PC struggling, router issues or interference, internet service provider, bad data routing, or even the actual server network encountering issues in some cases (uncommon).

Alright so here's the thing, the only time I've ever had Unreliable Connection, was when the ProMods 1 server had issues with the network. Other than that, never, ever, had any other Unreliable connection kick. I've played with a few computers, with various CPU, GPU and hard drive configurations (HDD with different speed, SSD), and always been on the same DSL connection (about 6 mbps down and less than 1 mbps up I believe.) Plus I live in a somewhat "remote" location, but I guess some places/ISP could probably be "worse".

    -Current PC: i7 8700k with gtx 1080ti, -Old laptop: i7 6700hq with gtx 960m, -Older laptop: i5 3230m with gt 730m

Now here's the thing, most of the case of unreliable connections that I've seen has not been solved, or at least that's what I'm noticing in the help forum threads, and can't remember any case that has been fixed on the TruckersMP public server on Discord. It's rather... Difficult to trace down the exact root causing the data to be lost. Too many times I've seen people saying "my internet is very good and fast", then proceeds to send a screenshot of their speed test... Yeah mate that means absolutely nothing at all I'm afraid. It can be fast, but is it really reliable? It looks like a super car that can accelerate very fast, but... The parts inside are cheap, or has other problems inside it. That's how I can describe it. Sometimes that problem can be hard to find by your own. Also in some cases, people complained about unreliable connections when they were loading in very low population areas. Some also claimed that it mostly happened on Simulation 1 server, and after the 1.36 update.

So... What exactly is causing that? I'd really like to know, but it always seems to be caused by various reasons that I can't always pin point.

Have you tested it on a different PC on the same home connection? I know a lot of people cannot afford to have another computer sadly.

Are you using Wi-Fi or straight Ethernet cable connection? Sounds a bit odd because I remember someone who had a bad Wi-Fi and was lagging a lot, but didn't get kicked for unreliable, but I guess it depends...

Have you tried using a VPN (Virtual Private Network)? There's many out there, but some are limited, and all have their pros and cons... And usually have to pay for the quality ones. But I'm not the best person to recommend which one unfortunately.

Even restarting the PC and the home router (Internet box) could potentially help in some scenarios.

    I play with three screens.

I'll tell you right away, that's your issue. It's been like that for people using DX11 Experimental on 1.35, and it's still causing issues on 1.36 unfortunately. I think even with single monitors, I've seen issues with people using odd screen resolutions that isn't 16:9 aspect ratio. I don't think there's any known fixes for that, other than using any supported "regular" resolutions (eg: 3840x2160, 2560x1440, 1920x1080, 1366×768, unsure about 4:3 resolutions as I never tested them.)
