Just gonna paste this here.
Back in the mid 80s I drove OTR for a couple of years.
Once I was driving through Nebraska, doing about 65, minding my own business.
Along behind me comes a big black Peterbilt with a cattle trailer and whoosh, passes me like I was standing still.
I got about 20 miles down the road and pulled into our regular fuel stop. There sitting idling was that same big Peterbilt.
So I got my fuel and went inside to pay and there was an older gent sitting at the counter having a cup of coffee. No one else around.
So I asked him if he was driving the bull hauler.
He said "Yep."
So I told him he had passed me about a half hour back and must have been really flying.
He just said "Yep."
So I asked him how fast his truck would do anyway.
He just said "Son, I don't really know."
So I mentioned he must gave some idea.
He acted like I was bothering him a little.
But finally he said, "Son, I can't say how fast it will go. All I know is when I get it into
top gear and really get to rolling I have to put goggles on the first two rows of bulls to keep the wind from blowing their eyeballs out."Interesting fact; Most cattle trucks are run by owner operators. These are typically known as “triple digit trucks” for a reason. They are typically equipped with punched out 450 horsepower engines, or larger, and with 18 speed overdrive transmissions. When these guys go “hammer down” they mean it, reaching speeds of 110-120 mph.
Google it if you don't believe, it's really fast so I'd have to see with my own eyes.
I kept on googleing yesterday and I found out why they drive faster than other trucks, it's all about getting animals out of the trailer as soon as possible, because if they are in the trailer for too long they get sick.
The second and the third place goes to logging trucks and dump trucks since they drive pretty fast too, now i don't know about european animal haulers but the picture of 2nd and 3rd place is the same here in Slovenia I guess the whole europe too.
Just had a need to share this with you guys, it's interesting if you are really interested in trucking not only in gaming.
Have a nice weekend!!

Some kinda trick, if you leave enough distance between you and cars you can drive thru tolls kinda fast.

So i did some reserch.
The first announcement about Italy was on the 11th of August 2017 and Italy was released on 5th of December, so 4-5 months after the post and one year after France... Makes me think SCS could have two teams for maps on both games, since they posted about new dlc so fast after Italy... im just guessing here tho. I am thinking 6-8 months...
I checked all posts after France was released for any tips for Italy but I found none.
I could be wrong, im just guessing here.

Watching Aussie truckers on netflix makes me wish we'd have Aussie truck simulator, i just love the idea of roadtrains in the middle of nowhere driving on a dirt road, thru mud and desert...

Operations V3, how many slot server? I'd like to come but if the server size will be the same as V2 was, I am not even going to attempt to join the server.

I've been listening to this while playing ETS lately, it somehow fits the game normally i don't listen to such music but that will change the way i see it right now.

Anybody joining me on this one?

Normally i don't watch whole videos on YT, but that one was just worth it.

Lyon, the only city in the game which has all motorways going straight into a city instead of somewhow around it...

Guys do you prefer roads in Italy or France?
I have to say that i prefer French roads and the only reason for this are lines on the road, to me it seems like in Italy lines are too wide and that's probably the reason roads feel narrower and when I'm doing 90 I have a feeling like I'm doing 110, meanwhile in France 90 is just perfect.
Is this just my opinion or does anybody think the same? I'd really like to get some opinions on that one.
