Going over 110km/h speed limit
dragonslayingmaster1000 replied to Omicron13's question in Solved Topics
Speed hacks can bypass the speed limiter I believe so that might be the case. -
Planing your actions & avoiding accidents
dragonslayingmaster1000 replied to FSX-Fan2014's topic in Driving Guides
It's a great guide but it's unfortunate that 90% of players will not follow this because they drive like it's GTA. That's just a recommendation because the gps speed limit will not change when you go past those types of speed limit signs. -
ATS just has less players. If you look on steam charts there are less people playing ats overall not just multiplayer. Player count definitely went up with washington dlc though and multiplayer is semi-popular again keeping a consistent 600-700 peak players total and most people driving on the cliff road near bellingham.

<ERROR> [dx9] Present failed. [0x88760868]
dragonslayingmaster1000 replied to Dark Winter's question in Unsolved Topics
First you should try to upgrade your graphics drivers in device manager or manually download them. I found a few posts on other forums that could help: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=259957 https://steamcommunity.com/app/227300/discussions/0/2741975115078891753/ -
I see that you did reinstall truckersmp but did you completely remove it from regedit too? If not, then follow these steps. First of all when you open regedit make sure you collapse everything so you only see "Computer" and then ctrl + f and search truckersmp and it should get highlighted, right click and delete. It could also possibly be a problem with your antivirus so turn that off temporarily and see if it works then. I found this topic that is relevant to your error, maybe it will help.

Suggestion Name: Fix the car's top speed, the car feels so much weaker ever since it was reworked Suggestion Description: So as you know TMP reworked the car last September. The rework did lots of good things like improved the brakes, made gear shifts faster, and added more accessories to it but it seems to have made it slower than it used to be. The reason I'm just noticing this now is because after the rework the 150 km/h speed limit prevented you from going super fast with it. Now that the arcade servers with no speed limit are here I can see that the car can only get up to 170 km/h and really starts to decline in power past 140 and can't even make it up small hills without slowing down. Before the rework it could get up to 230-240 km/h. My guess is the weight of the car limits the speed because for some reason it weighs up to 9-10 tons because I checked in a weigh station in ATS so decrease that to something normal like 1-2. Video examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjUcUub2sJ4 (pre-reworked car) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7mepDQAgpg (reworked car) Why should it be added?: I would like to go super fast on the arcade servers to have high speed races and it's unfortunate you can't go over 200 km/h anymore with the car. The car is also slower than some of the trucks in this game which is ridiculous and that should not be happening.

IF ANY DEVS SEE THIS PLEASE FIX THE CAR! Anyone notice the car is way weaker than it used to be? I was on the arcade server trying to go very high speeds with the car and could only reach 170 km/h. I remember the car having a top speed of about 240 and being able to get to 200 no problem but now it really struggles and loses power in 5th and 6th gear and can't go past 170 no matter what engine I use, try it out yourself and you'll see what I mean.

[DONE]Making the official events archive public

I don't get what the point of having that archive page up if they don't put any archives there. -
For the people asking for one arcade server to have collisions, everyone will go there instead of the simulation servers and it will be like the chaos EU2 used to be before they added the 150 km/h speed limit which they added for a reason because of cars going 200+ km/h or trucks going up to 170-175 km/h and crashing into everyone. I couldn't imagine seeing that again it would be insane and very chaotic. They want most people to play on the simulation servers anyway because that's the path they want to go toward.
-
Doesn't look like that to me with about 6000-7000 players online at peak times after the change.
-
The problem is most people can't go that fast and control their vehicle so that's why they changed the speed limit.

There are a few mods you can actually use to enhance your graphics in multiplayer. Sweetfx and reshade are good options and are put right into the game directory instead of the mod manager which tmp disables of course. Here's a guide I found on how to install it:
-
About 3-5 seconds after the loading screen finishes and/or when the "Connection established!" message appears my game crashes. There's no error message at all the game just closes. This doesn't happen in singleplayer. Here's my game log if it helps: https://pastebin.com/FYSWnkPx I tried going back to dx9 and reinstalled tmp. Update: I found out that this only happens on the arcade server, it doesn't happen on simulation server. It's weird that specific server likes to crash my game. Running as admin of course as suggested.
-
Then the new simulation servers will barely have players just like EU1 used to and everyone will just want to go onto the arcade server. And as @Ru13z said above, adding collisions in arcade server without any speed limits will result in chaos just like EU2 was before they added the 150 km/h limit. Truckersmp wants simulation in their multiplayer because this game is not NFS or GTA and is meant to play as a simulator. If you don't like the changes play those games, no one is forcing you to stay here.
-
This update looks awesome! Finally reckless drivers can't be speeding around at 150 km/h and people won't overtake as much. And no speed limit and no collisions on arcade servers is great for people who want to have races. I do feel like the update will drive some people away from truckersmp mostly the reckless drivers but that's good we get those people out of here.

Truck speed limiter option keeps turning back on
dragonslayingmaster1000 replied to dragonslayingmaster1000's question in Unsolved Topics
I was actually on EU4 as well testing that too. Must be a bug that came up while they were removing the speed limit. I'll make a bug report on it then. Edit: EU4 is gone anyway and the option doesn't stay enabled now on the new arcade servers so feel free to close this. -
Truck speed limiter option keeps turning back on
dragonslayingmaster1000 replied to dragonslayingmaster1000's question in Unsolved Topics
None of those things are the case for me. I said my "truck speed limiter" setting, not the one on the TAB menu, keeps turning back on. That's the exact problem for me but technically the limiter isn't even disabled because every time I turn it off it turns back on. As I said singleplayer is fine and the option stays off. -
Truck speed limiter option keeps turning back on
dragonslayingmaster1000 posted a question in Unsolved Topics
I even have the setting in the config file set to 0 but every time I try to disable it in game it still turns back on. In singleplayer it stays off it's just a multiplayer issue. I didn't have a problem with this yesterday so could be a recent bug that came out I'm not sure. I'm not using external contacts and not on EU1 which I believe wouldn't even enable that setting forcefully it's just coded into TMP. Update: It's a bug with only EU4 because they are removing the speed limiter completely there and the devs must have goofed. Going to report this as a bug. -
Just asking but why is it taking so long to just get a super small 100 mb update out for ats? Also when you update please add a ncz to the deepgrove company on the cliff road there are traffic jams like crazy there. Edit: 2 days no update still, it's not even one of those big updates it's just a micro patch.

I avoid using the lights whenever I'm not forced to by the headlight kick because they lag me. When I do use them I don't use high beams unless it's pitch dark.

How to launch TruckersMP with DX11?
dragonslayingmaster1000 replied to DaftLad's question in Unsolved Topics
Since you can't use the option in steam you have to edit the r_device to "dx11" in the config.cfg file in Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2 folder. Open with notepad. -
The logging road in washington dlc is insane right now. Are you guys planning on adding a NCZ to the company area?
