No -  g_hshifter_synchronous and "Advanced shifting" are different.

Advanced shifting by itself simulates a synchronous shifter. Simple shifting (+ simple shifting with warning sounds) is pretty much just unrealistic.

What's the difference between the two? I know on advanced mode, without the command entered, I can't simply shift when I want to, without gear grind.

@Carolina_Trucking

Advanced shifting acts like a synchronous shifter

g_hshifter_synchronous 0 makes it act like its non-synchronous

The difference between a synchronous gearbox/non-synchronous gearbox is not an easy task to explain without imagery or video, so I recommend looking up how various synchronous/non-synchronous gearboxes work on YouTube.

I may've figured out the issue now. When I type it in, it says unknown command in red text; however, when I use other commands, like weather ones, that red text doesn't pop up. It seems as if it's not accepting the synchronized command. Do you know why?

It was a spelling mistake on my part, the command is g_hshifter_synchronized, not g_hshifter_synchronous

It does require the 0 at the end too correct?

I'll try responding today with an answer. I need to try out it in order to confirm if it's solved yet or not.

@Carolina_Trucking

It should save it after the first time you type it in, it might be profile specific so you should probably load a profile before typing it.

If it doesn't save...thats a whole big issue entirely.
