Multiple disconnections

Question

Hi, I've looked everywhere in the forums and sent numerous tickets over the course of this year but they have gone unanswered so I'm posting here.

When I first started playing Truckersmp it worked perfectly. I got a new laptop and suddenly it doesn't work anymore, all of my drivers are up to date, I've even reinstalled Windows 10.

When I log in to truckersmp everything is fine until I actually start driving, my ping is a steady 33ms when others around me are 200+. When I first log in I am connected but as soon as I start driving it disconnects and reconnects me numerous times until it stays on offline on the top right. This is a shame as I miss doing convoys with my friends.

I've contacted my ISP and they find no issues, I contacted Microsoft and they find no issues, so I am at a loss. Really enjoyed this mod when it worked, playing on single player while your friends are all on multiplayer, however, isn't enjoyable so I hope you can help me with a solution.

Thanks

Hello

Write below or make a screen messages(red) text chat in-game (Y) after disconnecting from the TruckersMP server.

This information will be helpful.

Greetings

Hi @Damiana_Sola,

Unfortunately, I am not an expert. However, I can tell you that I kinda had the same problem.

Whenever I logged in, I had a steady and low ping. After a while, I got kicked out of the game and also from Teamspeak, even my ping was still around 10-15 ms.

My problem was the so-called packet loss

Therefore, I'd suggest you to check your ping and your packet loss at different times.

Check if your router is next to other electronical devices, check if your neighbors are in the same channel just like you and most importantly (because this helped me) check if your internet is set as "as fast as possible" or "as stable as possible"

My internet (100k) was set as as fast as possible, when I have chosen the the middle one of those two options, it fixed everything for me.

I don't know where you live, which ISP you have and so forth. Therefore, I can't help you out with where to find those settings but I'd suggest to just ask your ISP again.

Good luck!

Hello,

Start by restarting your router. If this doesn't help make sure you have all other connected devices to your network disconnected and try to play with cable if you are over Wi-Fi. If you keep having connection problems try to open the specific ports: 42860, 49200, 42890. Also set Google DNS, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Best regards.
