Non-Steam Euro Truck Sim. 2 Linking

I just got Euro Truck Simulator 2, but not through Steam. Mine was installed VIA Amazon Download code, and I was wondering if I would be able to link it to Truckers MP? How does it work?

In order to link your game to TruckersMP, you have to use the steam version of the game. 

A non-Steam version can usually be activated on Steam using the Product key. I have no experience regarding game downloads on Amazon, but if you can find the product key somewhere: go to your Steam client, click on add game (on the bottom of the window) and click on activate a product on Steam. Now enter the product key, and ETS2 will get linked to your Steam account. Uninstall the non-steam version and install the steam version of the game, play for at least 2 hours and get started with Multiplayer  

 

In case you CANNOT find the product key: Well, then you need to purchase the game again on Steam. But if you hurry up, you can get a 75% discount - it’s on sale at the moment
