If the above didn't help, ensure that you've got .NET Framework installed on your system. If so, try running the .NET Repair Tool. The standar path for both games are: ATS: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\American Truck Simulator ETS2: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2 Also try running it as administrator. Press the Windows key + Pause Break. this is The default location folder for Euro Truck Simulator is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2" choose your path accordingly where you have installed steam. If you use MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner Statistics Server, make sure to update the Rivatuner Statistics Server to beta version 7.0.0 Beta 19 or later. Make sure your user account is an administrator on the computer. Run Steam and the multiplayer launcher as an administrator.
