Need help with truck speed

Well, when I get a trailer it is capped at 55 mph and I can't go faster? I see lots of people speeding ahead of me and going faster so can someone please tell me how to fix?

Hello @Pookster007,

 

you can disable the speed limiter in the gameplay settings of the game. The following picture is supposed to show you where you can find it:

 

 

However, if you are hauling an external contract, it will not be possible for you to go faster than 90 km/h or 55mph because it is a set speed limit for those contracts:

Hey There!

 

The 3 most common reasons for Speed Limiters are:
1-) External contracts are always limited to 55 mp (or w/e that is in mph, these contracts are always limited the idea is that everyone gets equal and as close to real-life conditions as possible)
2-) You've got enabled speedlimiter at Multiplayer settings (at the end

3-) The American Truck Simulator Multiplayer Europe#1 and Euro Truck Simulator Multiplayer Europe#1 110km/h

This can be down to a number of things; I'll list them below -

1. You are doing World of Trucks External Contracts.
2. You have the speed limiter enabled in settings.
3. You have speed limiter enabled in tab-settings.

Please be aware that if your doing External Contracts for WoT, you cannot change the speed (your limited to 55mph). The others, try disabling the speed limiters.

Ok nvm I found thanks to friend of mine. I was doing external contracts

You can turn off the "Speed Limiter" in the Game Window with peace of mind. ETS2MP automatically sets max. Adjusting your speed. 

EU # 1 - Urban 60 / Urban 110 
US # 1 - Urban 60 / Urban 110 
EU # 2 - No Speed Limit.

 

• Enter the game and press ESC.
• Options
• Gameplay
• Speed limiter - uncheck
• If you load with an external contract, the speed will not exceed 90 km / h.
