How to use the Ban Appeal System:

 

1. Go to http://truckersmp.com and top right click login.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Put in the same credentials as your previous ETS2MP account, email address and password then click login.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Under the "My account" menu click on "Appeal Ban"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. On this page you will see your current bans, if banned at all. To the right hand side you can see text that says "Appeal this ban" click it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. In the box provided please explain why you should be unbanned. Include any relevant information as to why you should be unbanned including what happened and why it happened. Then click Submit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. Wait for admin response.

 

 

 

 

 

NB: If you are unable to create a ban appeal, this means that you are not banned as you can see in the screenshot below.

Instead of linking pictures, why not do some form of thing where you can just upload the pictures instead?

Sorry but making a secure upload form and backend isn't terribly hard, to add some extra security to it:

location /uploads/ {root /some/place/that/php/doesnt/look;}

(slightly simplified, but you should get the gist)

Virustotal, Clam, as long as people patch their systems, they aren't any more at risk than browsing the forums, besides, there's a while since there was any major RCE's in GDI(iirc this was the last RCE).

Yes this new "ban appeal system" will be a great improvement from before I remember when I got banned once (by I<3VODKA) that was hard to undo so say. Good old time become new!

Click the home tab at the top of this page next to the forums tab

 

Re log in on the home page top right

 

Once logged in in the top right next to Welcome 'your name' a tab called 'manage' appears click that

 

Next you'll see 'What do you want to do?'

 

Click ban appeal system and follow the on screen instructions

So far I'm happy with the result. Took about 15-20 hours of coding. Been writing that system all weekend

This is a good idea. But I will miss going through the rejected pile and seeing excuses  . But seeing as I hopefully won't get banned - Nothing I need to worry about.
