Using chat still interacts with the game.

So, basically. I've been having this problem for ages and I thought I might as well ask about it, I can't find any other cases of it happening to other people (maybe I'm just not looking hard enough) But whenever I use chat, It's really difficult as it keeps interacting with the game, so the truck keeps being controlled, menus open. It's impossible to use chat. Has anyone had a similar problem and know how to fix it?

Same here actually, never had any issues before the last update but today when I was changing my in game tag the game was being interacted with.

Hey,

 

Are you using a steering wheel or a gamepad? If so having a steering wheel or gamepad let's you control your truck even if chatting.

Yea, to add on to what Captain said ^, If you're using a keyboard you will not be able to control the truck while chat is open, so if you held w then opened chat, The W key will act like it's still being pressed down.

 

There is no way to fix this either than stop to chat or use a controller or steering wheel as a different input (with those you can chat wile being able to control the vehicle)

Ok, so went in the game to confirm a few things and, while chatting nothing happens in game. However, while fooling around in the TAB menu the game does get interacted with.... which I don't recall happening before. I use the a G27 but not too sure if that happened before or not.

I don't think you quite understood my problem, I am using a keyboard yes, but the problem is that the truck DOES get interacted with while I'm trying to use chat, so while I'm trying to type something, it opens loads of menus and turns things on and off in the truck.

Try verifying the integrity of the cache. It sounds like the game doesn't know chat is open so it applies your key binds. Reinstall the mod also.

Try deleting "controls.sii" on your profiles folder.
