Question About Pilot/Scout Car Blocking with Yield/Give Way Sign

Hi,

 

I think I mentioned this before, but I forgot something important... Though we’re all learning, which is important, right?

 

I have one question: During a convoy or when a group of truckers is traveling together with a leading pilot/scout car, is it permissible for the pilot/scout car to temporarily block the other road using/with a yield or give-way sign? This would mean that when someone sees the sign, they must wait and allow others to pass, correct?

your Question is easily answered by Rule §2.6

§2.6 - Inappropriate Convoy Management / Car Abuse*

Convoys are expected to follow all TruckersMP rules without altering the normal traffic flow. Convoy pilots are not permitted to slow down, block, control traffic and act as a staff member or otherwise abuse the pilot scheme paint job. It's not permitted to organise a convoy in the following areas when highly populated: Kirkenes quarry (ProMods map), the Duisburg to Calais road, and in the cities of Calais and Duisburg. More than 5 players driving together is classed as a convoy.

 

In short words. No you arnt allowed to block any roads even if its with a yield sign. It would be counted as Blockign and you could be reporter and punished for it.

Saying it again, read the rules, they are very specific about this. Public servers rules apply to everyone, nobody has any special privileges based on what or where they drive.

Only staff members (moderators, event staff, etc.) are allowed to control traffic, and even them can't act abusive.

If you want to organize larger convoys, you better request event server for that, where special rules apply.
