  2. @LimeUnlimited,

I applaud your attempt to use the simulator as it's supposed to be, in particular, to work your way up from level 0.

I regard the costs for the transportation of your rig to another location contribute to a more realistic experience. Nothing is for free after all, and as long as it's not possible to claim the costs for the repairs of damages from the perpetrator, one has to cover them from one's own budget.

Providing free teleports could send a wrong message and encourage the already reckless driving users even more to misbehave.

But there is high demand for locomotives in the quarry.

They need a lot of stuff moved around by trains there all the time and somebody keeps shipping those bloody locomotives away for some reason, so they have to order new ones constantly.

It's a neverending circle of life (and commerce).

    Thanks for the good laugh!

-I have clicked the drive button after a game crash or other circumstances to where im left in the middle of the road and even though I have a good system I will load in AFTER the Ghost mode has been disabled not allowing me enough time to move to the side of the road or get moving to a decent speed to prevent any said accidents.

The performance of a computer is irrelevant.

The trick is simply to position your vehicle to a safe location in SINGLEPLAYER mode BEFORE you enter MULTIPLAYER again.

Spawning in Multiplayer in the middle of the road and trying to avoid collision is a bold venture.

Maybe. That's why I said: The person who caused the accident would have to be held liable for this, because without him this situation of loading an old quicksave would not have occurred.

Please accept my apologies. I've apparently misunderstood your post. 🤔

Suggestion Name: Calais service station rework

Suggestion Description: Improving the intersection @Calais service station to allow smother traffic. Done by preventing trough traffic (traffic that passes by that road), by giving a bigger magin after the non-collisions area and adding traffic signals to the intersection

    Any example images: Suggestion.thumb.png.6055bd21523de453fc76e812cdfda7d0.png

Why should it be added?: To increase the flow of traffic and prevent collisions and keep more people out of the city because if the traffic flow is smoother people get in and out faster meaning less traffic, therefore less lag. I think

I'd try to avoid traffic crossing in high populated areas. In most cases, it will lead to players blocking others by entering an already congested intersection.

How about using separated one-way streets to enter and exit the service station?

  6. Thank you @LimeUnlimited for raising this interesting question.

American Truck Simulator's and Euro Truck Simulator 2's basic idea is to let users experience the challenges of the trucking industry by making them work their way up from a small garage to an international business empire.

Cheating money, experience, levels and/ or achievements is the opposite of this idea.

It bypasses the users learning progress, makes it less of a challenge, and diminishes possible rewards and achievements.

I prefer to get the most realism from a simulator and stay away from cheating.

For me, it is much more rewarding to improve my skills over time and explore the simulator more thoroughly.

For example,I consider national traffic regulations, driving times and rest periods, and more.

In conclusion, using the simulators without cheats provides a more satisfying experience.

What remains when everything is given all at once?

    Not really.

If someone crashes into you, your delivery will be damaged.

It doesn't help if you drive to the side and respawn there.
You inevitably have to load an old save game in which the delivery is undamaged, and unfortunately this is often just a save game in which you are in the middle of the road.

So it is not your fault. It's the fault of the driver who crashes into you. And he should also suffer the consequences.

To load a quick save which spawns your vehicle in an unsafe location, e.g. a road, is an reckless act, because it willfully neglects the safety of others users and of oneself.

As opposed to this, a user who crashes into a vehicle that spawned in his way of travel is not at fault, because he or she can't know nor predict when and where a vehicle of another user will spawn, which gives the user few to no time to take evasive measures.

When such is the case, jobs which would have Duisburg as destination (NOT starting point) would be removed/disabled from the job listings (quick/freight) and Duisburg would be temporarily removed/locked/disabled from being chosen as a target destination, forcing people to take a job with a different target destination.

Restrictions of the TruckersMP dispatcher will not stop players to drive to high populated areas.

And this is not least because not all players use the dispatcher. Think about players who solely use World Of Trucks jobs or players, who don't hault cargo at all.

TruckersMP rather needs AI traffic in low populated areas.

A higher speed limit was what the community asked for and if you want to go slow you can but not be in the possition to annoy the other players and i dont understand why you want it.

While one should not drive in a way that obstruct other road users, one is required to drive in a way at which the vehicle is under constant control.

If a player is annoyed by another player driving at a lower speed, it's not the latter who should drive faster, but rather the annoyed player should practice patience.

I very often see players who have been active on TruckersMP for a long time and still haven't understood how to keep their distance.

They're always surprised that there are lags when I brake and they cause accidents. If they still haven't understood it the second time and still drive too close, then a "keep distance" in the tag doesn't help.  And a "rec" in the tag is just as superfluous.  Not only in the tag, but also the pointless writing in the chat "rec @1234".

Save video evidence, write a report, done.

Activity alone doesn't necessarily improve one's skill level.

Unless one is interested in and understands the reason and benefits of defensive driving, one will always pose a risk to oneself and others.

Working schedule when you do it in your free time ?

Is a game not a job and if you wanna come on and help out with admin stuff but not on the schedule then you are not allowed or how do you wan't that to work ?

And if you are on the schedule and are sick or something come up do you call in sick ?😄

Voluntary work is based on the willingness to contribute time and effort without financial compensation.

This can be related to a game, a soup kitchen... you name it.

Voluntary work doesn't exclude a working schedule per se. Volunteers can be timely structured to maintain or improve a service.

And yes, it shows good manners to call in if you are sick.

    Sounds good but,

However, in such a system, it will be more inaccessible to open a region where the collision is open. Instead, it would be smoother to automatically use the tprk or tpr commands to the currently voted player.

That seems to be a more effective way to deal with a player who blocks traffic. 👍

I'm not trolling everyone, I am just SOMETIME trolling my close friends, when it comes to funny and laughing situation.

I didn't say that you troll everyone. I was just interested in why you would want to troll at all.

    Thanks for your answer! 🙂

  14. The TruckersMP team doesn't necessarily need more Game Moderators, but they need to use them more effectively, e.g. with a working schedule.

  15. Hello @xBestBBx,

thank you for creating this interesting topic. 👍

Basically, I would like to see happen the introduction of a realism server with the following features / settings:

    • NCZ-free map

    • AI traffic

    • server-sided, non-tweakable user-profiles that are reset to Level 1 (experience, levels, money and achievements have to be earned through progress)

    • tachographs in trucks

    • different vehicles classes, e.g. trucks, passenger vehicles, motorcycles, busses, cyclists, or permanently available alternating vehicles, to create a more realistic picture of road traffic

    • synchronization of the weather for all players on the same server

    • regulations and automatic financial punishments for violations of truck driver's driving times and resting periods (in combination with tachographs)

    • update of all passenger car's physics model to its real-world counterpart (or at least to the physics of a passenger car instead of a that of a truck)

    • national speed limits from real life implemented for the different vehicle classes

    • automatic financial punishments for speed violations

    • regulations and automatic financial punishments for violations of truck driver's driving times and resting periods (see tachographs)

I hope the above will give you and the TruckersMP team some inspirations and ideas.
