Make sure you've logged in and set your steam profile to public with at least 2 hours gameplay time on your steam profile.

As long as your brother (Or whoever) don't get banned on your own account, you'll be fine. IPs are not linked to kicks/bans except in exceptional circumstances* (In which case a web developer or manger would review it on a case-by-case casis).
 
Kicks aren't recorded, they just disconnect you from the server and you can easily rejoin the server again immediately.
Bans are recorded on your account and disallow you from reconnecting for the length of your ban, and are recorded on your account forever (Unless a PM/the admin themself deems it as a wrong ban)
 
*This is when you do something really serious like an attack on the website/forum/game servers or something like that

You should be unbanned now according to your profile. What I don't understand is how you got to "Connection refused" instead of there being an error when logging in saying "You are banned" 

You can tell if you're online by pressing Tab and a player list should show up. If your own name shows up on the list, you're connected. You can also press Y and see if you were disconnected from the server there.
 
You should check if both you and your friend are on the same server. EU 1 is speed limited and no cars, EU 2 and EU 3 is not speed limited and allows cars. You must not use the police skin/accessories or you will be auto kicked from the server.

Can you get the crash.log? C:\Users\username\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 and upload that to pastebin (or similar).
 
Also try verifying the game cache as instructed above.

Every person must own their own copy of ETS2, along with a TruckersMP account to link to their steam account. Family sharing will not work.
 
If your cousin plays on your account and gets you banned, he can't be your excuse out of your ban.
 
However you're banned at the moment, and if you ask me, I think there's something going on (I.e. Wanting to ban evade)
 
Edit: Just had a look at your history, and you should make an appeal/email [email protected] because you don't deserve a one month, because your other bans have expired (They're older than a year).

I'd email [email protected] if I were you, give a link to your profile and your appeal with it.
 
The ban shouldn't be a history ban because the past 3 are over a year old.

Seems like it's a common issue. Add your problem to this s topic so it'll get looked at by a dev/manager.
 
I'd wait for longer. Give it 5 minutes and it usually works by then. It happens to me sometimes so I just wait.

TruckersMP isn't related to ets2sync in any way, therefore you should enquire with the owner/their own support team.

My solution for it is to wait, because it will (eventually) work. It's to do with the time difference between single player and multiplayer, it's catching up to the server time. Therefore it'll affect any time related things in game.

Only IGAs can use the police car, not Moderators.

Can you open the command prompt and "ping 37.187.170.151" (This is the ETS2 EU 2 server IP), and tell us your average ping?
 
Also can you disable development logging (Tab>Right Click>Click the cog>Untick Development logging). This will not log when players spawn around you, which means that it won't slow down the spawning of players around you.

If you have no jobs, you can use F7 + Enter to make time advance forward, sometimes the eventual sleeping may work.
 
Taking a long time to teleport/sleep is a bug to do with time advancing, my solution is just to wait for a while. If you don't teleport in 5 minutes, restart your game. (Note: Make sure you do this in a safe area or a no collision zone so you don't cause traffic/accidents)

Yes you can speed. It's just something SCS added to make it more obvious that you were speeding.

It depends. For example, it could be purposeful, or by accident.
 
If an admin reckons they saw it was on purpose (Ie. Continuous or no apology) then you could be liable to a ban. However if the admin reckons it was an accident (Ie. Apology given or non-continuous) then you may get a kick, depending on the admin.

How to use trailer mods in MP:
Download the mod and run it in single player Get a job with the modded trailer you want Drive for a minute, then stop (in a safe place), save, and exit Enter multiplayer- Ignore "Missing mod" warnings Load the save game (or just click drive if it was an autosave) And that's it.

The reason we don't offer a 32 bit version is because ATS has only got a 64 bit variant, and because we want to continue to offer ATSMP, we have to use 64 bit. If we were to have both 32 and 64 bit variants, then that would be double the workload for the developers, meaning updates would take longer to be released.
 
Therefore, the developers aren't going to ever bring back 32 bit support because of this.

There's currently a bug regarding time sync. This affects anything that involves time, such as F6 + Enter, F7 + Enter, Quick Traveling to garages, etc.
 
There's no current fix for this at the moment, however it's been reported.

Click on OK and redownload the mod then.
 
If that didn't work, verify the game cache:
Steam>Library>Right click the game>Properties>Local files tab>Verify integrity of game cache

To change steering sensitivity, go to the menu, then options, then controls, then at the top there's steering sensitivity
 
(Left = Not very sensitive, right = very sensitive)

This is because of the time difference between single player (Related to speed + whether you're playing) and multiplayer (10 secs IRL = 1 min game time).
 
You will've eventually gotten to that amount of money eventually, except it wasn't a gradual increase, it was a sudden increase.

You could try and do a dual boot setup, but I don't know how to configure that with Linux.
