First off, thank you for creating a topic.
To answer your question and help assist with the issue you're facing, I'd like to suggest that you run your game using OpenGL instead of Direct X.
To do so follow these steps:
>Go to your Steam library
>Click on your ETS 2 game and select "play"
>Select "Launch with OpenGL" 64 bit
>Drive a short distance and save and exit your game
>After launch your multiplayer

To answer your question, I'd Suggest changing your preferred job length in game.
To do so follow the below steps,
>Launch the game
>Enter Profile
>Go to Options
>Navigate to Gameplay Options
>Move the slider of the Preferred Job Length.
Additionally make sure you sleep in game to refresh your Job Market.
Attached is a picture of the Slider of Preferred Job Length looks.

First off, thank you for creating a topic and welcome to the TruckersMP forum!
To answer your question, you need to have key binds to bind Gear shifting Up and Down.
To check these or assign them, use the following in game,
>Menu
>Options
>Keys and button options
There you will see all the key assignments and button configurations.
I'd also suggest reassigning them to a different key if this still doesn't work.
Also as a side note, you can assign a key to change between a Sequential or an Auto gearbox while driving.

The issue you are referring to, has been fixed together with support for the Freightliner Cascadia on American Truck Simulator.

Alright, I have noted a few mods that i use to achieve trailer combination.

Furthermore the above mentioned workshop items that I use have to be bought and configured in single player, then used in Mutiplayer.
Similarly, you can also save edit trailer combinations, I will attached a thread to a guide on how to do this, below.
Similar to the above, below is also a guide on how to Save edit the back of your trailer.

To answer your question, only the Seasonal Mods together with Promods are supported on TruckersMP.
Hence Workshop mods are not supported in Multiplayer.

First off, thank you for creating a topic and welcome to the TruckersMP Forum!
To answer your question, the delay you are referring to, can be caused by your Frames Per Second (FPS), as the lower it is, the longer it takes for the game to respond to changes.
Other causes are as follows,
> Retarded Gearbox functions.
As a suggestion I'd suggest giving this a go in SInglePlayer to determine whether or not its is your FPS.
If it indeed is not your FPS and the issue is still persistent, I would suggest opening a Support Ticket.

I have looked at the video you provided as well as what you have mentioned.
Its a great stretch of road, however for something to be considered as an unofficial track , I guess it would need to gain popularity from the community, much like the Calais-Duisberg road, its not really special but due to the community popularity it's considered as iconic.

First of welcome to the TruckersMP Forum!
I have had a look at the video and the method you explain and I am pleased to report it is allowed.
This doesn't alter your gameplay in anyway (just makes you richer) therefore it is allowed within the rules of TruckersMP.
Additionally, I suggest you do the above mentioned method on SinglePlayer rather than Mutiplayer due the the time sync, but feel free to do it on multiplayer if thats easier.

Thank you for creating a topic!
To answer your question, there indeed is a way to adjust you truck settings so that that you can come to a halt much quicker.
The first way would be to turn up the braking intensity.
To turn this up follow the below listed steps:
> Head to Options
> GamePlay Options
> Scroll down to Truck Settings
Alternatively buy a Truck that has Retarded Transmission, as this will automatically begin braking once you let off the gas.(Also worth noting you would need automatic retarder on)
You can turn on the Automatic retarder in the same menu as the Braking Intensity.
I have also provided some screenshots as to how these settings would look.
