An exception occurred during a WebClient request.

When trying to install TruckersMP i get the "install available updates" screen.

after pressing the "install available update" button i get the error: "An exception occurred during a WebClient request. Press OK to retry." and pressing OK doesn't change anything yet just prompts me back into the same error.

couldn't find anything online please help i just wanna play online 

After legit spamming the OK button (non stop around 30 times) it started downloading.

Follow these steps;

• Download Ultrasurf and install avaliable uptade with Ultrasurf.(https://ultrasurf.us/)

• Go to TruckersMP Folder,Delete both core_ets2mp.dll and core_atsmp.dll files,now start Truckersmp launcher and click on install.

Also 

Try delete all TruckersMP folder and re-install; 

1. Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
2. Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
3. Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
5. Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/
6. Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"

Do you get this problem only for TruckersMP? Or is it the same in any Multiplayer Game?

 

In this case, try the possible solution steps.
 

• Remove the network cable between your modem and your computer, and plug it back in after a period of time.
• Restart your modem. - (Reset).
• Try using VPN.
• If the problem persists for a long time, get support from your Internet provider.
   

Also, make sure that the Windows firewall does not block your connection. Open the Windows firewall and say Restore defaults.
