CynicalBusiness
The TruckersMP launcher fails to launch with an UnauthorizedAccessException, with the error below: These are the only files that appear: The "Date Modified" is always that date, despite numerous re-installs. This is on a 64-bit Windows 10 system. I've tried the following: Re-installing the launcher Re-installing ATS (ETS2 was never installed) Running the launcher as Admin Running the installer as Admin Setting the launcher and installer to "Run this program as Administrator" in properties Installing the latest version of .NET Framework Installing the specific version of .NET requested by the installer Running the launcher in compatibility mode Running ATS in DirectX mode Running the 'sfc /scannow' command. Nothing was found. What's going on here?

0 Guest
Hi, Install VisualC++ 2015 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 Please make sure that you are on an administrator account, also please scan your computer for viruses and malware with anti-viruses software's such as MalwareBytes, Adw Cleaner and Windows Defender (MS Safety Scanner can work too / https://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx) as this error can sometimes be caused by malware on the system that causes registry value corruptions. Please additionally make sure that your firewall software weather that be the Windows in-built one or a 3rd party AV firewall or both is not blocking TruckersMP. Instructions for the windows firewall: Spoiler Click Start Type firewall in the search box Select Windows Firewall from the search results list Choose Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall from the left side Click Allow another program Click Browse Look for 'TruckersMP.exe' Click Open Click Add TruckersMP should be added to the exclusion list Click OK I would also advise you to try this, Tap on the Windows-key. This should open the start menu or bring you to the Start Screen interface depending on how Windows 10 is configured on the system. Type cmd and wait for the results to be displayed. Right-click no the Command Prompt result and select "run as administrator" from the context menu. Run the command net user to display a list of all user accounts on the system. To activate the inactive administrator account, run the command net user administrator /active:yes Restart PC and retry installing TMP.
0 CynicalBusiness
I attempted your solutions, @Sentinel_, to no avail. Visual C++ 2015 is already installed, both 32 and 64 bit. MalwareBytes found nothing but a few PUPs, which it removed. This had no effect. TruckersMP already had a firewall exclusion. (Blocking it yields a different error) Activating the administrator account did nothing. The user account is indeed an admin.

0 Prototype
Try to restore your Windows firewall and see if you get a notification when you open the launcher. Also do you have any weird gaming motherboard with Killer Networks network card or any weird internet security or antivirus? On your log in screen, press and hold Shift key and click Restart. Click Troubleshoot. Click Reset this PC, and choose Keep my files. Keep my files will do the following: Reinstalls Windows 10 and keeps your personal files. Removes apps and drivers you installed. Removes changes you made to settings. Removes any application your PC manufacturer installed. Please also try using the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool as it could still be currupt. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30135 Much thanks,
