Good day @daanjandan,

in order to find a quick solution for your issue, just follow the instructions provided down below:

  • Run the launcher as an administrator.
  • Make sure that the process eurotrucks2.exe is not running. Also, try to delete the file manually [C:/ProgramData/TruckersMP/core_ets2mp.dll]. (Credits to mwl4)
  • Start a command line as an administrator (press Windows key and type "cmd", right click run as administrator), then, run the command sfc /scannow
  •   Hide contents

  • After having done so wait and restart your computer.
  • Run a single game in x64 DirectX mode
  •   Hide contents

  • Drive a short distance, exit the game and start multiplayer again. (Credits to ResTed)
  • Uninstall the TruckersMP launcher and download it again (https://truckersmp.com/download)
  • Verify the integrity of the game cache by opening steam, right-clicking ETS2/ATS => Properties => Local Files => "verify integrity of game cache"
  •   Hide contents

  • Check the following guides

Additionally, you should try to do the following when this connection error still occurs:

1.Restart the windows firewall service
2.Reboot the problematic machine

3.Restart the “TCP/IP stack”. Run CMD as administrator, type “netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt” to reset TCP/IP.
4.Try to temporarily disable antivirus.

If, however, nothing has helped yet, you should consider contacting the official support by submitting a ticket: https://support.truckersmp.com/index.php?a=add

Whatsoever, I really hope that I was able to help you. If so, please feel free to give feedback :)

Kind regards ;)

Hi,

Sorry about this connection error you are having.

Please try these things

1. Run the program as an administrator (right click the shortcut and select 'run as an administrator' and accept the UAC prompt.

2. Run TruckersMP in compatibility mode for Windows 7 & also try Windows Server 2008 SP1, please follow this guide http://pearsonsupport.helpserve.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/210/21/how-to-install-or-run-a-program-in-compatibility-mode-in-windows-7

3. Install these two programs

.NET Framework 4.6.2

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344

VisualC++ 2015

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

Still not working?

1. Reset your network adapator

This page will guide you through what you need to do and explains for different Windows operating systems as you scroll down.

You type

·         netsh int ip reset reset.txt

·         netsh winsock reset

·         netsh advfirewall reset

In to a DOS window (Comand Prompt).

2.

Changing DNS to Google's Public DNS, https://www.techworm.net/2016/08/change-default-dns-google-dns-fast-internet-speeds.html

You can also try resetting the Winsock Catalog

step 1: click on windows search program and type "cmd" enter

step 2: once you're in, type "netsh winsock reset catalog" enter

step 3: type "netsh int ip reset.log hit" enter

Extra things you can try

Try to run a sfc /scannow command in DOS then restart your computer and try again. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-use-sfc-scannow-to-repair-windows-system-files-2626161

Also, download CCleaner and run a registry cleanup and try again. https://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/using-ccleaner/registry-cleaning

As a last option, delete the ETS2MP folder from documents and follow the guide below,

  • Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
  • Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
  • Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
  • Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges

Also, verify the ETS 2 game files.
