Chat inop

I have read through a lot of post about chat, found the keyboard layout and neither the TAB or the Y key is working. I can receive text/voice but unable to reply. Can someone help? Thank you.

To answer a conversation, press "v". "Y" key is used to write and TAB key to display information about the players around.  If it do not work key "Y"  please click the F9 key, and if do not work TAB to click F11, which hides these functions.

It might be temporary, restart your PC and load back in and press 'Y' see if you can chat now, if not then re-install the multiplayer mod.

 

If it it still not working then re-install both ETS 2 Stock and the TruckersMP mod.

The most problem is caused if you accidentally hit:

F11 - THAT CAUSE THAT ALL NAMES AND TAB MENU ARE HIDDEN (NOT CHAT)

F9 - ALL TAB and CHAT is hidden

 

tell me if I write it wrong...

 

If this one doesn't help restart game

And don't forget check your system language if you don't change Y and Z

As I see it you may have an issue with your binds. Do you use V or y for anything else while you're playing the game? Cause that may be one of the issues. If you have anything binded with the same button then change the binded button to another button. This could fix your issue. If this doesnt than I do apologize and I will carry on looking for ways to help you out.

You can try to restart your game or restart your computer, sometimes the game has bug. Good luck!
