I want to buy the cd ATS California and I wanna now if I buy this can i instal mods or can I instal only mods if I have it on steam?

Hello,

 

You should receive a activation code with the game if you buy on CD. With this code, you can activate the product on steam and then it makes it mod compatible. However, I highly recommend buying through Steam as default.

here you have got mods which are allowed for MP:

There is no difference between the games if you buy the game on a CD or through Steam (all mods except MP work with both versions, because MP needs your steam profile)

 

Anyway, on the CD's box, there will be a CD key - use to activate the game on steam( that way You can play MP)
