-TJ- Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Hey everyone! I am a user of both ATSMP and ETS2MP. Everyday I am greeted with a high ping note (Over 600ms) I know there are thousands of posts but I have never got my own game fixed by following there instructions. Let me straighten a few things. 1. I live in Melbourne Australia 2. I join EU #1 as the other servers have no players (BTW I still get kicked for high ping there so no differences are made. 3. I have been searching for answers and trying all solutions but none work. Could someone PLEASE come up with a working solution? Here are my ping results: Thank you in advance. 4 MrHarv98 Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 Try all of these 1. Do a dns flush, Clicky here on how to do that 2. Clear your PC's temp files with Clean Master for PC 3. Open up your Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del on keyboard and see if there are some updating services running in the background processes , Example: Adobe IPC Broker service,or any form of updater service which updates softwares you use in the background. If you dont know if there are any running provide a screenshot and i will guide you furthur on.) 4. Do a Disk Cleanup of C: drive Clicky here on how to do that , P.S The top right corner where it says Windows 8.1/Windows RT 8.1 , Click drop down arrow and select your version of windows 7/8/10) 5. Disable any unwanted programs you dont want running and hogging internet. Clicky here on how to do that. Id bet on my listed methods to have a ping reduction by a few ms. If all else fails make a support ticket. 1
1 SprinterFS Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Ping issue comes because you are located too far away from the server. You can: Connect to Asia server since it is the closest to Australia. Try use a VPN with European server. This helped when I tried to connect to EU servers from China. Upgrade your Internet. The ping test shows that it is not in a very good condition. -- One banned troll means one sad troll. Conserve banning. 0 Casketman Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 A US server for ATS would be nice and would help I bet. A friend of mine got kicked for a high ping as well last night. Over 700. But he also plays on WiFi so we suggested he get a Ethernet cable hooked up to his PC. So if you're on WiFi,maybe try that?
0 -TJ- Posted February 9, 2016 Author Report Posted February 9, 2016 It looks like it is working now. (Well only for that day, I will test soon) Also Asian Server doesn't exist on ATS. The ping is normal for Australia. I tried Ethernet but it didn't make a difference. Velocity Transport Application Page

0 -TJ- Posted February 10, 2016 Author Report Posted February 10, 2016 Thank you so much MrHarv!!. Your solutions have worked!! I get 300-500 ping rather than over 600! I still lag and I do see people going off the road in the mirrors after I overtake assuming that I have lagged back. I do leave around 50m for that reason though. The topic can now be closed.
