steam_api.dll missing???

just downloaded euro truck 2 multiplayer installed but when i try to play it tells me that steam_api.dll is missing? i downloaded the dll and put it in the et2mp folder but still says its missing iv re installed steam euro truck and online eurotruck but still the same any ideas????

Did you install it in steam>steamapps>common ? If not then thats the problem.

Are you using Windows Defender by any chance? Noticed yesterday Defender is trying to delete steam_api because it detects it as a Trojan.

 

Also, you might want to look at your Anti-Virus, maybe he's doing the same BS as Defender.
