Graphics drivers crash after playing ETS2 for 20-30 minutes

Takumi Fujiwara 86

Question

Very recently an issue has started popping up where after playing ETS2 for about 20-30 minutes (sometimes less) my graphics driver crashes and recovers, thus the game crashes and sometimes renders my PC unusable until i restart it.

WHAT I HAVE DONE ALREADY (READ THIS):

Updated drivers

Rolled back drivers (because updating didn't work)

Fiddled with my settings

Restarted my PC

Cried in corner

Validated ETS2 Files

It doesn't do this in any other game (GTAV, RSV2, OMSI, etc.) only ETS2

MY SPECS (READ THESE TOO):

XFX R9 270x

Intel i7 4770

16gb DDR3

(there are others but those are the ones that matter)

help.

Once i had the same problem and almost tried everything you did. Mmmm, except crying in corner. I preffered kitchen

Anyways, i realized that my graphics card is almost plugged out from its socket. Thats why, i guess, the pc thinks that its a new part and tries to reset/renew the drivers. On the other hand, you are stating that there's no problem with other games, but its worth a check? I hope you can find the solution asap.

It doesn't do this in any other game (GTAV, RSV2, OMSI, etc.) only ETS2

I'm having this problem on my laptop also, where I couldn't even play ETS2, but I could with other games, such as Unturned and Minecraft because ETS2 is a demanding game (If GTA V is a demanding game, IDK why it works for you). 5 seconds in, it flickers and crashes. A friend recommended me to replace the motherboard components

It must be that the graphics chip is screwed, like the one on my laptop

What I'd recommend is to bring your Graphics card to the place where you bought it (if it still has it's warranty) and get it replaced, or buy a new one.

That should fix your problem
