Benefits of using DirectX 11?

Hello,

I didn't know that ETS2 supports DirectX 11 until I've seen this thread. Now here's the question - is there any point of using this mode? Does graphics or performance get better? I've read that this mode was implemented specifically for Oculus Rift but is it true?

DirectX is a Graphics Interface for your Windows which is preinstalled. Newer dx versions cause fewer lags and more fps. (ideally)

Yeah I know how DirectX works but ideal implementation is not always a thing, hence the question

Well, I just did and I can't say that I have noticed any difference. But it doesn't hurt anyway so I can just leave DX11 enabled.
