Having trouble with ETS2M

I initially got this game from amazon but I wanted multiplayer so I re-bought it through steam. I currently have the 1.14.2 game version that I had installed from SSC website but I keep getting error saying unsupported game version detected! To play ETSMP you need to have ETS2 1.14.2s (Steam release)! How do i fix this?  Or where do I download 1.14.2s (Steam release)? I am new to the way steam works.

See if you are using a beta, if so disable it.

You go to the games properties betas NONE - Opt out of all beta programs? If so I did that and it still does not work. I get the same error.

It is set to  Automatic Updates-High Priority - Always auto-update this game before others. It is not giving me an option to manually update it if that is what you mean.

I am not fully sure what you mean by that. I think you mean this?

Can you please also upload a screenshots of the same dialog, but showing the betas section?

Btw, are you sure you installed ets2mp in the right folder?

It installed in this folder: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer" should it be installed somewhere else?

Well thanks to you all this topic can be closed.

I had the ETS2M going to the folder where I got the game from amazon not steam. It is working fine now I am aslo able to connect and play it!
