Well thanks to you all this topic can be closed. I had the ETS2M going to the folder where I got the game from amazon not steam. It is working fine now I am aslo able to connect and play it! Thank you for helping so fast! I also did this below

It installed in this folder: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer" should it be installed somewhere else? Here are the dialog of all the betas that are available

I am not fully sure what you mean by that. I think you mean this?

It is set to Automatic Updates-High Priority - Always auto-update this game before others. It is not giving me an option to manually update it if that is what you mean.

Where would that be at?

You go to the games properties betas NONE - Opt out of all beta programs? If so I did that and it still does not work. I get the same error.

I currently have the 1.14.2 game version that I had installed from SSC website but I keep getting error saying unsupported game version detected! To play ETSMP you need to have ETS2 1.14.2s (Steam release)! How do i fix this? Or where do I download 1.14.2s (Steam release)? I am new to the way steam works.
