My car is running but I can't move it forward

I encounter such a problem while driving. I can't find the cause, is there a setting I need to switch off?
It's usually for the same reason. I look at the game chat and write something, then I can't advance the vehicle.

Information :  Air brake simulation off.

The pop-up in bottom right at 0:36 & 0:45 in the video says handbrake on/applied.

Try changing the keybind to something you don't use for typing etc or disable it

If you hold the button when you open chat, it treats the input as if you are holding it. There's been a time i held the accelerator when i opened chat. Upon closing, it was still stuck. Even if i braked, shifted to neutral, or put the parking brake on, my vehicle would still want to accelerate.

 

Some tips i can offer

1. Don't hold nothing when you go into chat. Come to a full stop, then open chat.
2. You may need to push the stuck button again. Idk if that fixes it. Otherwise, you have to restart the game.

I encountered with same issue few days ago.

 

- There you only need press Alt+Tab to your desktop and then get back to the game and everything should be back.
