game tabs out for no reason

sometimes i have the problem that my game tabs out and no its not just in tmp, but in tmp the most fatal things could happen.

i also must say that its not everyday that this happens and it doesnt happen alot in general but im a bit worried and wanna fix it, any ideas?

If your game keeps tabbing out randomly while you're playing, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. 

Check for background programs: Make sure no other programs are running in the background that could be interrupting your game. Close unnecessary applications and disable any overlays or notifications that might be causing the game to lose focus.

Update drivers: Ensure that your graphics card drivers and other important system drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues with games, leading to unexpected behaviour.

 

I have faced this problem in the past, and it helped me to close all unnecessary open programs like Discord, Google Chrome etc. Also, I set TruckersMP to "Windowed" and not "Fullscreen".

You mentioned that you had a problem I'm really sorry about that. You can be sure that I will do my best to help you.

1. Open Steam -> Right click to ETS2/ATS2 -> Click "Properties" -> On the "General" tab uncheck the box next to "Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active".
2. Run the launcher as administrator. ( TruckersMP Launcher -> Right Click -> Run As Administrator)
3. Update your windows and your graphics card drivers.
4. Make sure that you have the latest .Net Framework (4.7), DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015.
5. Remove your temporary files and obsolete registry paths.
6. CTRL+R -> Type CMD and press enter -> Type sfc /scannow and press enter -> Wait until scan finish -> After finish the scan please restart your computer.

If it doesn't work despite these steps please delete the launcher and all its files and install it again.

1. Win+R -> %programdata% -> Delete TruckersMP folder.
2. C:\Program Files\ -> Delete the folder named TruckersMP Launcher.
3. Documents -> Delete ETS2MP and ATS2MP folders.
4. Win+R -> regedit -> expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> expand SOFTWARE -> delete TruckersMP file.

After doing these click HERE to download the Launcher again. 

 

If your problem didn't solved after these steps please provide your game.log.txt file.
