So i downloaded ETS MP and i'm having fun, I play mainly in the EU1 Server, limited to 90km/h,

He's downloaded TMP, plays on EU1 which is a limited 90KMH server

    Quote

so i've had my fun and my friends have gone offline i'd now like to play single player, hey ho, can't switch the limiter off, stuck doing 90 km/h.

The people hes playnig with have gone offline so he now goes to play single player instead, but the limiter is still on.

    Quote

so i uninstall MP, validate my files on steam, guess what still stuck doing 90 km/h..... what file, and what do i need to change?

He uninstall TMP, check integrety of steam files but the limiter stays in place. Hes asking for the solution of how to turn off the limiter.

    Hello,

    Recent updates:

Speed limit its 150km/h we can no longer drive over that speed. Use EU3 or EU2 inoreer to drive that top speed.

    Cars:

Knows bug: use (ctrl & shift for automatic transmission)

There is nothing against players speeding in game. You may drive as fast as you want (but not reackless)

    Regards,

    -Arctic Wolf

This answer is nothing to do with the question. He wants a solution to how to turn off speed limiter in single player, not an explanation of have the speed limit of tmp works

    - Overtaking at C-D road

IMO Overtaking on CD could be banable depending on the situation.

    Under the rules:

    §2.4 - Incorrect Way / Inappropriate Overtaking*

Driving the incorrect way down a road. Overtaking or Undertaking in an area of extremely low FPS and/or in areas with large amounts of traffic, overtaking resulting in an accident or anything similar. This also includes overtaking on any 1 lane in each direction road where there is excessive traffic such as a traffic jam. Areas with a large amount of traffic are considered to be 25+ players.

It does specify populated areas. To me C-D is a populated area. So if the overtaking ended up with an collision then to me yes it's banable. However, if the situation was different and no collision happened I would kick the player for overtaking.

To me this is just pure disregard for other players. Therefore I would also depending on the manner Ban or Kick.

Again showing disregard for other players is not very polite. Depending on the manner its done again it would be a Kick or Ban

  4. TruckersMP is only a Mod. It doesn't save any profiles in a cloud or anything.
Your game saves are locally stored on your PC. You will need to copy over the files from your old PC to your new PC.
You can also download beginner profiles here.

You maybe covering issues. However, you're not exactly being helpful either. You're not giving us ideas on how we can make this better just complaining about it. Please just be grateful that you have this opportunity to give us feedback. It's a TMP ID dude, it's not like we're asking for your whole address. And Cheetah did not backseat moderate. I don't know what Backseat Moderating is to you but in Cheetahs comment there was none.

He directly told me to stop doing what I was doing. So therefore thats backseating.

I don't care whether it is or isn't my TMP ID. The point is it links it to me. People will automatically feel reserved about answering honestly when they fill it in as they know it can be tracked back to them.

And who would go out their way just to then give us feedback using someones ID....

    Many people probably would.

    Question:

Would you like a completely filtered outcome with accurate results.

    Or:

An unfiltered anonymous survey which may have been answered multiple times by the same person, which does not give us an accurate image of what people want (which if we then start doing things, people will complain about because it is not what they entered in the survey!)

Seems like whatever turn you take, it's never the correct one.

Oh I thought you had done talking? Your still not listening. I didn't make any points about filtering. I made a point of I shouldn't be required to provide details which link me to this survey.

@DJ Jefferz I think the best thing for you to do is quit while you think you're ahead.

You know I conduct the TruckersMP survey towards the end of each year to find out who the communities favorites are, this too goes through a stage of data cleansing to filter out rogue information. It's just how surveys work.

I know you think you mean well, but (and im being honest here) how truckersmp decide to carry out a survey has nothing to do with you since your not on the team anymore. The decision to use verification of the TMP profile means the team can verify that the users who have answered are current users, registered with the community, at no point did I read that this is an anonymous survey.

So GG you start by backseat moderating.

Data cleansing is fine. but the data cleansing of this survey is just biased and manipulated. Deleting a survey based on the fact they wern't willing to identify themselves is like pointing a gun at someones head and forcing them to say "TMP is the greatest community ever."

I've covered several issues here but none of the staff want to listen. I've raised about the answers not covering fully and about how the TMP link is forcing us to identify ourselves and link us to the comments we make. This alone will not allow people to truly speak openly.

But the staff decided to argue the points and make it up as they went along.

I guess the argument of talking to a brick wall goes both ways..

It is not manipulating if that data is infact not use-able for us, since it doesn't meet the requirements of our survey.

However, since it's turning into an endless carousel I will stop responding now. You can contact me on Discord if you have a legitimate question, which isn't about the stuff you've already said (and received answers to).

Nice so the typical TMP comes into play again.. Sit down and shut up is what I'm being told to do here.

The data is perfectly usable. Whether it has a TMP profile in it or not you could still get the same responses and use the same data. There is no real legitimate reason to use TMP profiles. Anyone could use one of the over 2 million accounts. I could make several posts using different accounts. So having a TMP profile link for "verification" is a load of rubbish.

We demand a profile link, if that's too hard then yes those entries will not be looked at - like I said, we are looking for genuine and legitimate feedback.

Many people have replied already, almost all of them with their profile link.

It's not manipulating, it's looking at feedback which has been entered accordingly to our wishes.

The survey is voluntarily, you choose whether you want to submit or not. We are not going to use it for anything else than to improve this community & mod.

I could talk to a brick wall and that might listen better. The point is that your asking people to link themselves to to something their saying about TMP. Automatically people are suspicious when you ask for this as they wonder if it will effect them in the future.

It is manipulating if your deleting what could be potentially useful data to you. Your picking and choosing what you want to see based on if someone wants to link themselves to it or not. That's full on biased.

Your going to use it to improve? I'll see that when I believe it. Maybe you should look at all the previous information you already have. feedback tickets, all the suggestion posts,  the highers Q&A. You have plenty of things to be looking at feedback wise. This to me feels just a front to people to pretend you're interested in how the TMP community feels. When you're already telling us your deleting posts and information.

Nothing to stop them, however those entries will be deleted afterwards.

So you're just going to delete answer which may be legitimate? That's making it biased then. That defeats the whole object of a survey if your manipulating which responses you choose to look at.

We are not a company, this is a community and we want the user input to improve our services. We chose for verification, as it makes things much clearer. There are plenty of people who'd enter the survey multiple times and therefore give us false information.

We are not looking for that, we are looking for genuine feedback and user experiences. And not 10 entries from 1 person.

I never said you were a company. So don't take words out of my mouth. You chose for verification because you want to associate someone with what their writing. Theres still a loophole in the system anyway, Google only allows links in validation not specified links. So whats to stop someone just pasting the TMP homepage?
Besides Still doesn't account for the fact you don't give all the options in the survey.

Why hold a survey to people who do not touch the mod at all anymore? It should be based on (recent) experiences. Therefore the minimum is once a week, else you can not answer the survey properly.

It's set up like that simply so people do not spam in their responses, without verification it has no use as anybody can write things as much as they want. We're not going to use the survey against anybody, I don't know on what you base that on but I'm sure you can't provide that statement with arguments / proof.

Why hold a survey for those who don't touch the mod? Excuse me I do also recall you have a forum section of the survey. So maybe I was filling it in for the purposes of the forum, which I use regularly. You need to realise you have not covered all the options. Which gives you false information. If I answer I use the mod once a week. that's giving you false information. Making the whole survey a biased answered survey.

Well actually I could actually provide proof. but then you would ban me for some kind of breach or something.

Surveys don't need verification. How do you think the big companies deal with it? they just deal with the non legitimate information like grown ups.
