  1. Hello everyone, We have accurately read your positive and negative feedback on the latest changes on TruckersMP rules. Feedback has been taken on board and we will immediately start discussing internally on further improvements following your comments. In order to clear out some doubts, I can definitely state that most save editing changes were implemented for two main reasons: Constant abuse from certain players, especially caused by the almost infinite amount of possibilities that the save editing techniques allow for; Clear misunderstanding of the rules both from players and staff members, which forced us to increase restrictions and write down clearer limitations. Our focus is to ensure everyone can understand easily the rules, also thanks to the brand new guide we have written (which will hopefully be translated in many languages). We totally understand the genuine part of the save editing community and we will work to find a good compromise that can accomodate the most common modifications in order to let players create their favourite real life trucks in-game and show them off on our servers without causing any issues to other players or rolling away from the simulation environment we're looking for. Eventual changes will be promptly announced on this topic and made clear on TruckersMP rules and the Knowledge Base system, stay tuned for further announcements on this matter. Kind Regards, Marco6158
  2. Hello Truckers! New year, new changes. Fresh into 2020, we’d like to announce some big changes that we’ve been making to TruckersMP which revolve around our rules, player punishments, and save editing. As many of you know, we have been steadily moving more towards a simulation environment since last year while trying to bring TMP back in line with the vision of ETS2 and ATS. Still however we face many users who only seem to be here to ruin other players' experiences. Below you can find an overview of the big changes that we’re making which should begin to address some of these issues. Major Rule Changes Ban History The biggest change that we’re making is a modification to how we handle bans due to overall ban history. We are now lowering the amount of overall bans a player can receive in a single rolling year to five, with the removal of the 3 months due to history punishment, this will be effective immediately. This means that if you currently have 4 active bans on your profile, your next ban will be permanent should you receive another ban within your current ban history. If you currently have 5 bans, you will not be banned immediately under the new rule. Be aware that if you are banned again, it will be permanent so long as the active history supports it. Also, if you receive a secondary history ban at any time, it will be extended to permanent. Punishment Length Changes In addition to the changes in how we handle ban history, we are also changing the punishment lengths for the offenses that are listed in our Game only rules. Players that are found to be breaking the rules will begin to receive much longer sentences than in the past. We are also becoming more strict on what we consider to be “kick-only offenses” as well. We ask that all players be mindful of how you choose to drive. Save Editing Changes Much of the save editing rules were done for added clarity, however there are a few big changes to the save editing rules: We now do not allow users to mix different trailer types in doubles and triples. We are lowering the amount of duplicated items you may have to one. This goes for both trucks and trailers. Strictly one per each. Following this announcement, we're giving players 7 days time to adapt to the new Save Editing rules you can find here. Additionally, we have made a specific guide to save editing which will explain in depth how rules work and some examples to let you understand what is allowed and what isn't. More can be asked to the Game Management through the feedback system. Happy Trucking, The Game Management --> View post on homepage

  9. The reason for which we won't enforce this rule is because we have applied it for a long time, ever since the Europoort times and know that it doesn't work. It has been proven that kicking players for parking in busy areas indeed reduces lags, however it also steals an enormous amount of work to our staff members that need to focus on more important matters than people parking on a sidewalk or an NCZ without impeding anyone. This is also the main reason why the old 2.7 rule was removed. Another issues is that as soon as staff leaves an area, people will immediately start parking there, making staff efforts null.
  10. [GAME MODERATOR] @[Интегра] ResTed rejoins the Game Moderator Leader role. [GAME MODERATOR] @LaserX joins the Event Team while remaining in the Game Moderation Team.
  11. @Greenfox According to your idea we would inevitably see people driving through each others in all servers and intentionally trolling other players with the ghost mode by slowing down and speeding up triggering the ghost mode to be enabled and disabled constantly. Without considering all the unattentive players that would be totally unaware of their ghost mode and drive through or against other players. Same goes for the ghost mode to prevent blocking, to counter that I could just drive back and forth a road by going 2 km/h and still be able to avoid the kick for hours, or I'd get kicked while sitting at traffic lights, for stopping to refuel or simply parking for a few minutes. As I said above, we are very well aware of what we do and it's likely that if we haven't done an idea you might have, it's because we already thought about it years ago and fully know it won't work as it should. Even then, we're open to suggestions but post them in the appropriate places if you want them to be listened at and most of all, do start to think that TruckersMP staff members are not here spending our free time to annoy people and intentionally overcomplicating things, but doing stuff according to accurate analysis of our data, from bans, to reports and usual driving behaviour. I often have to find myself to say that when TruckersMP provides all these services for free (forums, support, servers, feedback, knowledge base system, events, ...) it is extremely unpleasant to us to be considered as scatterbrained people that do stuff with barely any cognition of how stuff works. And despite all that, look at the effort the whole team makes to make everything run: you spend your free time to play, we spend our free time to ensure you can play. A suggestion for many people that will always be useful for everyone is to be openminded and be able to see the bigger picture and not only see what matters for yourself or a closed circle of people.
  12. By looking at your profile you're reporting a lot of players yourself so I don't see the point of your complaint at all, if there's one. You seem to be enjoying the reporting system to the fullest. The "stupid" report you sent in was accepted because the user violated rules, you wouldn't have reported him otherwise, would you? This mod works both ways: we do all that's possible to ensure everything goes smoothly and the way we want it done, but at the same time we expect players to create reports to improve the experience and get bad people out. No community works where staff does all the work and players do nothing to make it better, here at TruckersMP it's no different. Everyone who violates our rules badly enough deserves and will get a ban. We don't hide that we will indeed go hard on people who intentionally fail to follow our rules or violate them due to careless driving and lack of respect towards other players and we will use any means we can use to stop unwanted people from not joining our servers and everyone who follow rules should only be glad about this fact. Then, yet again, we've been doing this role for years, we train staff to do their jobs and our Game Moderators will know when something deserves a longer punishment or not (reads: differentiation between accidental, negligence and intentional), players don't need to worry at all about that. Should a wrong ban be applied, since it can happen and will happen, use the features we provide to sort out these issues and you'll be good. I won't comment on hypothetical power abuses and absurd bans, we look at facts, when and if they will happen. Thanks.
  13. Correct, hence why only staff members with Game Moderating permissions can drive faster. Thanks for your support! As a short answer to everyone else who is unhappy with the changes mentioned in this topic and with the speed limiter, we'll have to reiterate again: we do not have any plan to revert the simulation changes for multiple reasons stated in our first topic. Additionally, I have read some players' concerns in here and if you're a safe driver and respect people around you like you'd do in real life, you won't have to worry the slightest bit about the aforementioned changes. If some happen to violate rules, there's a valid reason to be worried, but that's the point of this change after all. Convince players to respect others to stimulate a more mature community and driving behaviour. This said, I hope that everyone will give constructive criticism on the topic mentioned in the first post if needed, but everything must be done according to our rules. We'd rather avoid locking this topic due to the excessive flaming and unpleasant reactions towards the changes we made to our services. Thanks for understanding.
  14. Hello everyone, As a continuation of the changes mentioned in the 1st Road to Simulation topic, today we're also letting you know of some internal changes that have been pushed recently inside the Game Moderation team. Our aim is to drastically reduce the amount of players that don't want to follow our rules and encourage everyone to move to a safer driving style and for this reason, we have made some relevant changes to how we issue bans. The bans workflow mentioned in §2.8 - How bans are issued will be exactly the same, however we will issue harsher punishments on players that break our rules intentionally and commit violations due to negligence while driving. More specifically, if we believe that certain players are joining our servers solely to harm other players and restrict their freedom to drive peacefully, we will issue punishments that are no shorter than fourteen days. In the eventuality the Game Management thinks that a user joins TruckersMP with the sole purpose to violate our rules, the usual history workflow will be bypassed and the ban length will be at the Game Management's discretion, where permanent bans could be issued regardless of how many bans one player has had. While all this information might be scary to some, worry not, the only people that will be affected are those who have no interest to play our modification in the way it's meant to be played. This will clearly convince unattentive players to drive more carefully and will get bad players out of the servers quickly. Lastly, we have made some small changes to the speed limiter. Staff members that have Game Moderation permissions have had their speed limiter raised to 160 km/h (100 mph) in order to let them fulfill their duties in the best way possible. 16. We have no reason to show further updates if it's nothing worth showing. We have few developers who work hard on multiple features at the same time, if you have suggestions on how to speed up the process of development for new features of this mod or specifically for the new game mode, you're free to get in touch with our Developers team and share your precious knowledge with them. I'm sure it'll be appreciated.
