The option(s) are mainly there to increase FPS (which I can gladly say it does), not to disable others seeing them. They can still see them just fine, if they too have the options checked as well.

@[FEVER-CO] YaBoiFever Technically, you can't be banned just for using a no damage mod and nothing else, as it only affects the outcome of your truck and nobody else's. (not to be confused with a NCZ hack, the no damage mods I am referring to don't permit freely clipping through others).
On another note, the popular ones that currently exist right now tend to have other engine, braking, and much more 'tweaks' that are equivalent to speedhacking, and hacking in general which will get you banned if you turn them on.
I'd personally recommend staying away from them altogether if you don't know what you're doing, as that's about the same as playing with fire.

I'm not entirely sure of a solution to this but the first thing I'd suggest would be checking your audio devices in windows "sound" to see which one is default.

They were changed from yellow to white because it too closely matched the report message for admins.
Since this is removed, it can be changed back, although this is a rather small suggestion and I'm sure there's more important things taking up the developer's time right now.

This has been looked into previously, and we determined the side effects outweighed the positives.
If you want to know my personal opinion of it, it's that we should be expanding the team as whole so we can be on more often both in-game AND web reports, not just one.
A change like that won't happen overnight however.

@Ryeng It's not a problem to tag me, it's better than quoting the above statement which is against the forum rules.
Render range = draw distance, same thing. The best way I can explain it, is with a picture. On the left is how my truck looks when someone else sees it on their client, and on the right is how I see it at that position when I look at it myself.
SpoilerAs for why there isn't an option to override these somewhat ugly effects, I don't know myself. I wish there was, but like I said, it was the developer's choice.
-
^Not really. All of these reductions still take place on the client side, the server loads everything regardless. Developer's choice, not mine. Kind of sad about it myself although it is for FPS reasons again, but that doesn't really make sense in my application because I'm running a Titan X.

@Ryeng Headlight distance and vehicle details (interior, outside accessories, grille) render range were also greatly reduced with no option to make them back to how they were previously.

^Tried to play with some of the settings. I was able to increase it slightly, but would love it to be even higher. As for limitations on the server, that's half the reason why I'm suggesting/asking. If the server can handle it, and it is up to clients to choose how good or bad fps they want to have, then I think it should be increased further to allow higher distances.
The draw distances are much higher than you'd imagine for the server, and they have been since the dawn of time. The vehicles are loaded instantly from about 600-800m but the client just 'holds' back when you can actually see them.
As far as you can see the white (sometimes blue) lines, that's when the vehicle is actually loaded. You should be able to test this yourself in-game with console command g_developer 32 , even though my camera is dynamic, it should work similar for you when driving.
SpoilerThe reason this was done was so players would have a more reasonable FPS in traffic jams to reduce accidents, although at times it can indeed work the exact opposite, so for the most part I'm in favor of your suggestion.

So the AFK kick is working as intended. We even added a message brodcasted to others in the area when this happens.
Ever wonder what it means when someone gets kicked by "SYSTEM"? Now you know
Also, this topic is several months old when alt-tabbing used to freeze the game and mess with the AFK timer, but now it doesn't anymore.

Ghost mode helps a little bit with this problem but it isn't perfect. Generally stay away from cities with lots of congestion at NCZ edges (Duisburg is the worst offender, Rotterdam, Calais)... ect.

The screenshot you showed tells us all, because if you were actually banned you won't be able to bypass the login screen and connect to the server. I've seen this bug quite a bit lately.

This is more of a connection problem than anything, it probably doesn't matter what kind of PC you have.
Try to stay away from high populated areas, as your internet may just not be up to the task of loading in 100+ trucks around the same time.
It's more of a download issue rather than upload, as you're still connected to the server, able to send packets about your location, but you just can't see chat or other trucks.
I do believe this is being looked at, and possibly kicking from the server so you don't damage others unaware of it, but I have no information on the status of that.

Hi, this bug should be fixed now. Generally it can take a little bit before everything shows up on the TAB menu correctly when connecting to the server, but once it's loaded in, it's there for good.

So reinstalling the mod probably won't help you very much with this.
There's nothing I can do to help you with this, but this is actually a bug within multiplayer. It can be reproduced by attempting to drag the menu in a place other than the top (the sides, middle, bottom).
Only fix for now is indeed to restart the game.

Hi, at the moment draw distance is reduced in busy areas for performance reasons (so it changes by itself based on the amount of people around you). I believe it's around 30 players or something when it starts to become noticeable. You shouldn't worry about it for now, but just know the draw distance in your settings gets overridden by this "dynamic" one for now.

The issue could possibly be related to development logging, which you can disable in the TAB menu's general settings. I was having the same problem a while back, the problem may be happening because if you have this option enabled, at times it can hang the game as it's logging sometimes 100+ lines of text regarding truck details in a file for every single person that loads in.

^ There are well over a million now, this is a very old post and I'm not sure why it is suddenly active again.

Why we dont have our "company"(steam) name??? and we have the forum name??
Steam names were changed to TruckersMP names in-game. If you want to write your company name in that, you can still do so.

Probably not going to happen. I know some guys that have more hours than I do (5,462) and they still continue to get bans. You're lucky we even have a queue, there were times that didn't even exist.

Impersonating a police car helps the admin team in no way. All of our productive work happens from the sky, doing reports, and watching over players, and on the website, not driving around in a police car or anything similar to one. Those are just for looks as far as actual usefulness goes.

Hi, I can confirm the FPS drops and heavy microstuttering in ATSMP even running a high end computer + g-sync monitor. They aren't a result of your computer, but rather an issue with the multiplayer. I believe it's being worked on.

If this bug happens, please pull over immediately (if you are driving), and restart your game. It's not a good idea to drive when people are stuck 2000+meters away because you'll be driving through people and not even know it.

You are actually incorrect, in fact sometimes it has over 100 people on the server. The server itself is just having some problems right now.

These are my settings which I've used for 2 years now:
config_lines[94]: "mix dbgfwd `keyboard.w?0`"
config_lines[95]: "mix dbgback `keyboard.s?0`"
config_lines[96]: "mix dbgleft `keyboard.a?0`"
config_lines[97]: "mix dbgright `keyboard.d?0`"
config_lines[98]: "mix dbgup `keyboard.e?0`"
config_lines[99]: "mix dbgdown `keyboard.c?0`"
Should work for you, but you should remap any of those keys which are in use, in the settings first. Otherwise it'll reset it back to just numpad.
Someone else may have the arrow combination, not sure.
