FATAL Game Crash every time

Question

Its getting very frustrating now, whenever I try to change my player tag colour and click on the coloured box the game crashes. Whenever I exit the game via the exit button or Alt + F4 the game crashes and comes up with FATAL GAME CRASH - Send a report to the developers? option box.

Ive uninstalled the launcher, re-installed, deleted all the necessary files what gets installed including the registry entries and still the same issue. When I load up the standard game via Steam with Single player, it runs fine and exits fine.

WHAT CAN I DO? :(

Thanks

Hello :)

Anyway, try doing the following:

1. Open Steam

2. Go to Library and click Home

3. Click Euro Truck Simulator 2

4. Click Play

5. Select the option Launch with OpenGL (64-bit) and click Play

6. Drive a short distance in single-player and then close the game

7. Restart your PC

8. Open the TruckersMP Launcher.

See if that works.

If NOT;

1. Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
2. Enter %programdata% and press Enter
3. Find the folder TruckersMP and delete that folder
4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named TruckersMP Launcher
5. Re-install Launcher with admin privileges: https://truckersmp.com/download/ .

Also make sure you have steam open when launching TruckersMP and try launching the game as administrator.

Hope that works!

Hello

Try these

1. Locate and Secure your Profiles, Copy them to a seperate Folder.

ATS: http://prntscr.com/f7ofiu

2. Then de-install ATS/ETS2 via Steam and de- install TruckersMP.

3. Restart your PC.

4. Then start searching for all old Folders of TruckersMP and ATS/ETS2 and Delete them. A RegCleaner Software will be helpfull. Sometimes there are "Dumb" Folders/Paths to ATS/ETS2, that were created by the TruckersMP Launcher.

8. Start the Game in Single Player and check the Version. Create a new Profile, but do not Drive. Close the Game.

9. Search with Windows File Explorer the Path to the ETS/ATS Installation. Keep this Path in Mind.

After that, download the actual Version of TruckersMP, unpack it to a seperate Folder. Install it from this Folder as Administrator.

Make sure that you having the right Path to the Games when you Installing TruckersMP.

You have to check them manually, do not let the Launcher Auto searching for them.

Hello there!

This is a known issue with OpenGL. You need to launch your Game with DirectX11 instead.

In order to do so, please follow these steps:

  • Open Steam
  • Go to your library and search for Euro Truck Simulator 2 / American Truck Simulator
  • Hit "Play" to start the game
  • Select the option "Launch with DirectX11 (64-bit)"
  • Wait until the game has started and drive a short distance
  • Close the game and restart Steam
  • Launch TruckersMP as Administrator

Please let us know if you're able to change the colour of your ingame Tag now.

Kind regards

Linciano

As for Linciano, Ive done that and yes I can now change the player colour, many thanks! But the game crashing when exiting the game still persists :(
