Connection Error - Retry? 0x80072EE4

nixon333

Question

This is the first time I want to install the game. I have tried for several days and read almost every article on this problem but nothing helped me. I have the last versions of the soft such as directx, Net and so on. I have run the launcher with and without administrator privilege. Turned Off the anti-virus, restarted the PC, checked for corrupted files of ETS2 on steam. I have a great internet connection, 40MB/s. I have tried everything and run out of ideas. Somebody can help?

Hello,

Please follow this solutions:

Solution 1:

Download Ultrasurf.
Run Ultrasurf.
Open TruckersMP in Administrator Mode.
Install the available updates (only the first run with Ultrasurf), wait for it to finish and Launch button appears.
Exit Ultrasurf

Solution 2:

In order to verify your game cache, go to your 'Library' and find 'Euro Truck Simulator 2'.
Once you find it, 'Right Click' and go to the 'Properties ' tab.
This will open up the properties tab. Go to the third sub-tab that says 'Local Files' where you will be presented with the following options.
Click on the last option to begin the validation process. This might take a few minutes.
Once all the files are validated, if any corrupt instances are found, then Steam will redownload those particular files for you. If not you will be greeted with a box that says no errors.
You have verified your game cache successfully.

Solution 3:

"Usually it appears when you try to update the multiplayer launcher with the game open.
First, check if ETS2 process is running. If so, end it and try again. If this doesn't help delete core_ets2mp.dll, re-open launcher and re-download file.  Path: C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP"

Solution 4:

Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges
Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"

With all respect,

Hello!

Please try to completely reinstall your TruckersMP.

https://truckersmp.com/knowledge-base/article/147

If this does not help please try to delete these two folders (if these exist).

  • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache
  • C:\Windows\Temp\WebCache

Furthermore, also try to restart your router.

With kind regards
Lukas

Hello @nixon333

Check the following below solutions:

I. This solution has helped other players recently:

  1. Restart your the router/modem & PC
  2. Go to "This PC" and copy/paste this path C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache & C:\Windows\Temp\WebCache (if available).
  3. Delete all files from both folders.
  4. Launch the launcher as administrator and try again

II. Try cleaning your temporary System Files with CCleaner.

Hello @nixon333

Solution:

Make sure you have the latest .Net Framework

Clean your temp files with CCleaner

Check your temp files path and make sure it's located at C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache

If you don't have "INetCache" folder make a new folder and name it "temp" and then open the Windows temp settings and choose the new path.

I hope it helps.

Best regards,

As I saw in the photo you provided above, I found the error 0x80072EE4

Here is some solutions:

There are two (2) ways to fix 0x80072EE4 Error:

Advanced Computer User Solution (manual update):

1) Start your computer and log on as an administrator.

2) Click the Start button then select All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click System Restore.

3) In the new window, select "Restore my computer to an earlier time" option and then click Next.

4) Select the most recent system restore point from the "On this list, click a restore point" list, and then click Next.

5) Click Next on the confirmation window.

6) Restarts the computer when the restoration is finished.

Novice Computer User Solution (completely automated):

1) Download (0x80072EE4) repair utility.

2) Install program and click Scan button.

3) Click the Fix Errors button when scan is completed.

4) Restart your computer.

You can read about the error here: http://www.wiki-errors.com/wiki-errors.php?wiki=0x80072EE4

If the above steps didn't work for you, then try this:

1. Open Command Prompt as admin and type "net user Administrator /active:yes". This will activate the built-in Administrator account.

2. Log out your windows account and log in the Administrator account.

3. Open TruckersMP launcher and install the updates. Try to launch the game and see if it works.

4. Log out again and log back in with your normal account.

5. If you still have the same error you can keep playing from the Administrator account as a temporary solution.
